Welcome to the short breathwork exercise to balance your autonomic nervous system.
Make sure to sit or lie down in a comfortable position,
Try to lengthen your spine as long
as possible and enclose your eyes.
Bring your focus to your breath.
Notice its natural rhythm,
The air flowing in and out of your body.
For the next couple of breaths I am going to count to ten for the inhale,
Then we hold
the breath for a comfortable amount of time,
Exhale for a count to ten,
Hold and repeat.
Take one last deep breath and when you exhale completely,
Start to breathe in to count to
ten,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten,
Hold and let go for nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold.
Breathe in for two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten,
Hold.
And let go for nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold.
Breathe in for two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten,
Hold.
And let go for nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold.
Breathe in for two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten.
We're almost there,
Breathe out for nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold.
Breathe in for two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten,
Hold.
And let go for nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Now let your breath flow naturally,
Without control.
And bring your attention inward.
How do you feel?
What changes did occur in your body?
What changes did occur in your mind and your thoughts?
How do you feel?
Take one last deep breath.
And now start to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Move your upper body.
And then slowly,
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Take this sense of peace and balance with you for the rest of your day.
Thank you for joining me.
