A safe place.
This is for you to visualize and imagine yourself in your safe place.
It's a beautiful way to regulate the nervous system and begin again.
Take your time to get really really comfortable.
Creating safety in this moment.
Grabbing pillows or blankets,
Maybe a sweater.
Whatever would make you feel cozy and safe and really grounded.
Option to lay down for this meditation.
Closing your eyes if that feels okay.
Take a steady breath in.
Steady exhale.
Maybe it doesn't feel steady yet.
That's okay.
Gently breathing your way back to your center.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Notice the parts of your body that are in contact with whatever's holding you.
Feeling really held and grounded.
Allow your soul to settle.
Feel every cell in your body.
Start to relax.
Follow your breath in.
Follow your breath out.
Where is your safe place?
Allow your mind to go there.
Bring all your attention there.
Visualize you arriving in your safe place.
Notice how all the feelings within you start to shift as you arrive in your place.
What does it feel like?
What does it look like?
Notice all the textures around you.
Take in everything you see.
Look around and notice all the different colors.
What is it that you can hear near?
What is it that you can hear off in the distance?
What do you smell?
What do you taste?
What do you feel?
Maybe noticing what your feet feel.
Maybe sun on your skin or a gentle breeze running through your hair.
Or maybe you can feel the soft grass beneath you or a chair wherever you are.
And if you could reach your hand out in front of you,
What would you touch?
You are here.
You are safe.
Allow your vision to expand.
Noticing if you are alone or if other people are with you.
Let your vision really evolve.
Arriving in your safe and happy place.
Breathe in slow.
Breathe out.
Notice how your body right here is responding to this visualization.
Feel the return of your steady heart.
Feeling the safety and the stillness.
Feeling ease and grounded energy.
Allow your mind to wander and be in your safe place.
Imagining all that brings you calm.
