This 3-minute meditation serves as a short break from a busy day. Take a moment to slow down and focus on your breath as you let go of the worries of the day for a couple of minutes. Return to your day feeling refreshed and confident that you will get it done with ease.

I'm happy that you decided to take a break.

Regardless of what it is that you're doing,

It's so important to take breaks.

So you should be proud of yourself for taking the initiative to slow down and do something for your mind.

Take a moment to get into a comfortable seated position.

Sit up nice and tall and let your shoulders slide down your back.

Relax your face,

Your forehead,

The space between your eyebrows,

Your jaw,

Let your whole face become relaxed as you start to notice your breath.

And if you find yourself thinking about things you need to do,

The thing you're taking a break from,

That's okay.

Just notice that those thoughts are happening and remind yourself that you will deal with them later.

For the next couple of minutes,

All you have to do is focus on your breath and take your well-deserved break.

Notice how you're breathing.

Does the breath go deep into your belly or is it shallow?

Try to make your next breath a big one.

As you inhale,

Allow the air to move into all four corners of your torso.

And as you exhale,

Notice how it feels to empty it all out.

Take a few big,

Deep breaths in and out.

Just like that one.

And on each exhale,

Allow your body to soften as you continue to sit up tall.

Let your lower body grow heavy as you feel the energy that these deep breaths bring you.

And as you're breathing,

Notice if you've reintroduced any tension into your body.

Unclench your jaw,

Relax your shoulders once again,

Make sure the skin of your face is soft.

Take one last deep breath in through your nose.

And this time,

Let it go with a big sigh out through the mouth.

As you return to your natural breath,

Remind yourself that you are capable,

That you will deal with everything that the rest of your day brings with confidence and ease.

No matter how difficult or how busy or how challenging things get,

Trust that you will figure it out and you will get it done with ease.

If you'd like to,

Repeat to yourself silently or out loud,

I get it done with ease.
