Good morning!

Thank you for starting your day with me.

Let's start by waking up the system.

Feel your body where it's making contact with the surface,

Either your feet on the floor,

Your butt on the chair,

Or that steady stacked feeling of your spine if you're standing up.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale fully through the mouth.

And notice how it feels as the air goes in and out.

Again,

Inhale,

Fill the ribs,

Feel the expansion in your chest and your belly,

And then exhale to let it all go.

A fresh start,

A new day.

Deep breathing like this will signal safety to your nervous system,

Which will give you more energy and more focus throughout the day.

Take one more deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,

And then allow your breathing to return to its natural rhythm.

Bring your attention to the area behind your eyes,

The center of your head.

This is where it feels like our focus is.

And you're not forcing yourself to concentrate.

You're just noticing this area.

You're aiming to concentrate naturally.

And if thoughts are coming up already about your day and what you need to do,

That's normal.

Instead of pushing them away,

Imagine that they are organized,

Perfectly organized,

Like a newly stocked grocery store or a cupboard full of freshly folded laundry.

Everything is organized and your brain is clear.

And now bring your attention to your body.

Without moving too much,

Engage just a little bit.

So lengthen the spine upward.

Imagine that there's a string at the top of your head,

Right in the center,

Gently pulling you up,

Holding you up,

Giving you energy.

Draw your shoulders back and down and feel your chest open.

Take another deep,

Energizing inhale and slowly exhale.

Allow more oxygen to enter your body.

This feeling of being open and standing tall will increase your alertness.

Notice that sense of being alive and ready for a new day.

And now bring to your mind the day that you have ahead.

Not the whole entire to-do list.

Just one thing that matters that you want to show up for.

It can be one task.

It can be one characteristic.

It can be one feeling.

Maybe you want to be focused throughout your day.

Maybe you want to be creative throughout your day.

Maybe you want to be calm as you efficiently get things done throughout the day.

Just bring that to your mind and imagine yourself doing that thing well.

Not perfect,

But very effectively.

And feel the satisfaction of beginning that thing and following through with that thing.

By visualizing and imagining this success,

We're getting ready to be successful because you will be.

Bring your attention back to your breath.

Inhale and feel your energy rise.

Feel the oxygen bring more energy to your body.

And as you exhale,

Feel this sense of steadiness and control.

Energized and grounded.

Take a final deep breath in.

Notice how tall,

Alert,

And awake you are.

Notice how ready you are for today.

And exhale to bring forward that feeling of groundedness.

You are so focused and you are so ready.

And carry this energy with you throughout the day knowing that you will be successful.

Have a great day.
