Hi my name is Simon and welcome to Happy Mind Meditations.
Today's meditation is a part of the 7 minute series of guided meditations for busy people.
This meditation has been created to help you reconnect with the present moment,
To let go of all of the running tabs going on in the computer of your mind when you have a busy day,
Maybe full of deadlines or things to do,
Then it's very easy to get swept away and caught up in the day and it's very draining to have all of these things going on at the same time.
So this quick and short meditation will help recenter you and help find more energy and focus for the day.
Let's dive straight into this by first taking a deep breath in and a gentle exhale and another deep breath in,
Deep and slow and a slow exhale.
Just focus on the breath as you continue to take deep breaths in and gently exhale,
Just focusing on the breath.
Now first,
I want you to let go of all of the past events in your life that might be running in the background,
That includes anything from today,
Anything from yesterday,
Just release all of the past,
Let it go and just imagine yourself right now detaching yourself gently from all of the past events.
If you're a visual person,
You can imagine that you're on a boat and you're cutting the rope of all of that baggage that you might be carrying.
Now is the time to let go.
Now we're going to do the same thing with the future,
That part of your mind that's focusing on goal setting,
All the excitement of future events,
Everything that is to come.
I want you now to let all of that go just for now,
Allow it to be and come into a place of acceptance for where you're at right now.
Let go of all future plans.
Take a deep breath in and on the exhale,
Let go of all future plans.
Now I want you to place both the palms of your hands over your heart center and breathe now deeply into your heart center and gently exhale again through your heart center,
Just focusing on for now your heart center as you continue to take deep breaths in and out.
As if you're breathing through your heart,
Expanding on the inhale,
Contracting on the exhale.
Now I want you to bring your hands down to your stomach area.
Now with your hands over your stomach area,
I want you to imagine yourself as a large ball of light and this large ball of light is attached to many different creative projects and tasks in the background.
That could be your work,
Could be your family life,
Could be your plans with your friends.
Just imagine as you take a deep breath in that all of these different strands of light now start to make their way back inside to this big ball of energy and just feel that release as they slowly come back and make their way back to the center,
To the light.
Continue to take deep breaths in and gently exhale as you visualize more and more of these strands of light making their way back into the center of yourself.
Let go of all of your projects that you have for the future.
Now is the time to recenter.
Now we're going to bring both our hands back up to our hearts.
Take a deep breath into your heart and a slow gentle exhale through the heart.
Just notice that warm,
Gentle pulse within your heart grounding you into this present moment.
Now that you have let go of all of the baggage and you have let go of your plans for the future you now have access to more energy to take you into your day with more flow and ease.
