The Mindful Pirate will teach you the very same mindfulness meditation he likes to do.
Because when he is mindful,

Spot the big blue whale,
And find the treasure island.
Find a place where you can be very comfortable and relax.
In this meditation,
You will have a chance to practice being present.
When you are present,
This means you are only thinking and feeling what's happening right now in this very moment.
Being present is very helpful for being the captain of your ship,
Just like the Mindful Pirate.
You can close your eyes now.
Wow!
It really is dark here with your eyelids closed.
Just relax here as you listen in and take some deep breaths in and out.
Now our pirate friend isn't perfect.
No pirate is,
And he made many mistakes when he sailed around the world.
But that was long before he became a Mindful Pirate.
And that tale is for another time.
Your Mindful Pirate friend likes to use a spyglass,
Like a small telescope,
For focusing his mind and seeing very clearly.
Now keep your eyes closed and imagine that you have a magic spyglass,
Just like the Mindful Pirate uses,
Floating in front of you.
You can control this spyglass with your mind.
Imagine that wherever you point the lens of your spyglass,
That's where your attention goes to.
Your mind may wish to think about other things,
But see if you can direct it back to wherever your magic mindfulness spyglass is pointing.
Now direct your spyglass telescope so it focuses on your breathing.
Notice your breath as it comes in and out so easily.
Just feel your body breathing in and out.
Just allow any thoughts you may have to pass through your mind.
Now with your mind,
Hold your spyglass steady as it focuses down to your feet.
Feel your feet as they are resting on the ground.
Can you feel the energy in your feet?
Notice what your toes feel like.
If your mind starts to wonder,
Just direct your attention to where the spyglass is focusing on your feet.
Point the spyglass now on the whole middle part of your body.
This is what the mindful pirate likes to do.
Imagine looking through your telescope at your back and your belly.
Can you feel the energy in the middle part of your body?
How does your belly feel?
Just notice.
You don't have to change anything.
Just let it be.
Now when you are ready,
Point the telescope inside to your feelings.
The mindful pirate likes to imagine his feelings have colours.
Your feelings might have a colour too.
As you focus your spyglass on your feelings,
What do you see?
How much space do they take up?
All of your feelings are welcome here.
Just notice them as your spyglass is looking right inside you.
This is wonderful.
You are just as focused as the mindful pirate.
He would be very proud of you.
Because when his mind is calm and present,
Just like this,
It's like a smooth,
Gentle ocean,
And he knows exactly where to steer his ship.
When he is mindful,
He feels in his heart which direction to point his spyglass.
To sail the seven seas.
To spot the big blue whale.
And to find the treasure island.
When you are ready,
You can point your spyglass around where you are.
And put your attention back into the room.
Gently open your eyes when you are ready.
This calm feeling inside you will help you to be the very best captain of your own ship.
And remember,
Your magic pirate spyglass can stay in your imagination for you to use any time you wish.
