The sun rises every single morning,
And as long as there is air in your lungs,
You must rise too.
Arrange your body into a comfortable position.
That might mean sitting upright with a long spine,
Or laying down on your back.
Close your eyes,
Roll your shoulders up,
Down,
And back,
And start to release.
Start to drop in to this moment.
As you find stillness,
Begin to tune in to the aliveness of your body.
Notice the breath moving in and out of your nose,
Maybe feeling the air on your upper lip.
Notice the gentle rising and falling of your chest and your belly.
Tune in to the subtle sensation of your heart beating in your chest.
Feel your body in space,
And start to feel your body from the inside out.
You are still here,
With a brand new 24 hours in front of you.
You get to spend another day in this body and on this earth.
Recognize the privilege in that,
Because a brand new day is not promised to everyone.
Let's add in some breath work.
We'll start with a cleansing breath.
You can take a full inhale in through your nose,
And a full exhale out.
Now inhale through the nose,
To the count of 4,
3,
2,
1.
Hold the breath for the count of 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Exhale out the mouth for 8,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Inhale 4,
3,
2,
1.
Hold 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Inhale 8,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Breathe in 4,
3,
2,
1.
Hold the breath 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Exhale 8,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Continue this breathing pattern on your own,
Counting in your mind for the next couple of minutes.
Start to return to a natural breathing process.
Start to soak in the after effects of the breath work.
Check in on your body,
And on your mind.
You get to decide where you go from here,
As you move throughout the rest of your day.
You get to decide to either open or close your heart.
Einstein once said that there are only two ways you can live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
Stay here as long as you like.
Namaste.
