In this meditation, we will work with a calming breathwork technique designed to settle the mind and help you sleep more soundly. By focusing on our breath and bringing awareness to the present moment, we can create a space of tranquility and relaxation. This practice is perfect for winding down at the end of the day.

You can start to set yourself up in a comfortable position and once you're there,

You can begin to gently close your eyes,

Allow yourself to drop into your body,

Moving your awareness away from whatever's going on in the mind,

Dropping into the body.

We can use our breath as a tool to connect with our body,

So as you breathe in,

Feel the air travel into your body,

Feel your lungs expand,

And as you breathe out,

Feel the air leave your body,

Deflating your lungs,

And watch that process happen over and over again.

See what sensations you can notice,

See if you can tune in to where your body makes points of contact with the ground or the surface underneath you.

We will start to add in some breath work today,

We'll breathe in to the count of 4 through the nose,

And breathe out to the count of 8 out the mouth.

Start with a cleansing breath,

Take a really deep breath in through your nose,

A big sigh out of your mouth,

Start to breathe in through your nose for 1,

Breathe out your mouth for 8,

5,

Breathe in for 1,

2,

3,

4,

Out for 8,

Breathe in for 1,

Continue on your own,

Counting in your mind,

Slowing everything down.

Allow every single breath to be like a wave of relaxation,

Just washing over your body,

Cleansing you,

Releasing you from anything that you don't want to be carrying right now.

You can work with this breath work as long as you'd like,

You can stay in this state for as long as you'd like.
