Good morning,

Welcome to this moment of stillness.

As you begin your day,

Give yourself this gift.

A few minutes to wake up,

To arrive,

To breathe.

Start to find yourself in a comfortable seat with your spine nice and long and your hips grounded and heavy.

Let your hands rest wherever they will be most comfortable.

Close your eyes if that feels safe.

And just begin by noticing your breath,

Without the need to change anything.

Just simply observe.

Feel the air entering your nose and slowly flowing back out.

Following every inhale as it rises and every exhale as it falls.

Let your breath anchor you here in your body.

Let your breath remind you,

You are alive.

You are still here breathing.

What a privilege it is to have these brand new 24 hours in front of you.

Begin to bring your awareness to the sounds that you can hear around you.

Just noticing what's going on audibly in the space that you're in.

Just listen as if the world is gently waking up with you.

Maybe you can hear that soft hum of the morning,

Whether it's birdsong or wind or just a car in the distance.

And let these sounds ground you deeper into this present moment.

And now take your hands and gently raise them up and place them softly over your eyes,

Allowing your palms to shield your sight.

And say silently or aloud,

Thank you.

Thank you for the ability to see the world around me.

Breathe in that gratitude and breathe out anything heavy.

And now move your hands to cover your ears.

Let the world get a little bit quieter for a moment and say thank you.

Thank you for the ability to hear,

To receive music,

Voices,

Laughter and nature.

Notice what the silence feels like right now.

Next,

Gently cover your mouth.

Feel the warmth of your hands against your lips and say thank you.

Thank you for the gift of speech,

For my voice,

For all the words I get to speak into the world today.

Feel into that power to express and to connect.

Now place your hands over your heart.

Let them rest there.

Feel the soft rhythm beneath the palms of your hands.

That steady heartbeat that is still beating,

Sustaining you for this brand new day.

And you can say thank you.

Thank you for this heart.

For how it feels,

For how it loves,

For how it carries me through every single one of my days.

Now move your hands down to your belly.

Feel the gentle rise and fall with each breath.

And say thank you.

Thank you for my gut wisdom,

For my intuition,

For the way this body processes and protects and supports me.

And just soften your belly.

Let it be held.

Now place your hands over your legs.

Could be your thighs or your knees.

Wherever feels natural.

Feel the strength here,

The support.

And say thank you.

Thank you for these legs,

For how they move me,

For their steadiness.

And finally place your hands over your feet.

Feel this connection between you and the ground.

And say thank you.

Thank you for my feet.

For every step they've taken.

For where they've led me and for where they will go.

Let's take a really deep breath in through the nose.

And just sigh it out through your mouth.

We'll do that two more times.

Inhale slowly,

Fully.

Exhale completely.

Let your whole body soften once more.

Breathe in.

And let it go.

Let your whole body fill with gratitude from head to toe.

This is how you begin today.

Not in chaos or in rush.

But in stillness.

In presence.

In deep appreciation.

Feel that gratitude soaking into every cell.

And then also give permission for that gratitude to ripple outwards.

And say thank you.

Thank you for my life.

Thank you for this new day.

I am ready.

Take one more deep breath.

And once you feel called you can begin to gently open your eyes and tune back into your surroundings.

Thank you for slowing down with me.

Namaste.
