Good morning,
Dear one.
Mornings are magical because they provide us with the opportunity to begin anew.
Some days we may need a little help to become grounded so that we can face our day and what lies ahead of us calmly and effectively.
Your body is a wonderful grounding tool because it can only ever exist in one place and time.
Here and now.
Whenever you find yourself feeling scattered,
Overwhelmed or anxious,
Reconnecting with your body will help you to become grounded again.
One of the easiest ways to connect with your body is by paying attention to your breath.
Let's begin our practice by taking three slow,
Mindful breaths together to bring our focus back to the body.
As you inhale,
Notice where your chest and belly expands to fill your lungs with air.
When you exhale,
Observe where your belly and chest contract as air is gently pushed out.
You may choose to place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly to help you to connect with these sensations.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Another deep breath in and out.
And a last slow breath in and out.
Remain focused on your awareness of the physical sensations in your body.
Now gently shift your attention to where your body is making contact with the surface that is supporting you.
Whether you are sitting up or lying down,
Just feel into all of the places where your body is being supported.
Right now,
At this moment,
You are being supported by the earth.
Your body is lovingly held and supported.
You have a constant supply of life-giving air flowing in and out of your body.
You are safe,
Supported and grounded.
Taking a few moments to reconnect with your body can help you to slow down your thoughts and bring you back to the present moment.
Becoming grounded can help you to release overwhelming thoughts and refocus your attention in the present moment.
Now you can face your day with calm,
Centered awareness.
May the rest of your day be blessed and filled with the magic that you have created for yourself this morning.
