So with your eyes gently closed,
Taking a few long slow breaths into the belly,
And you might even do an audible sigh out on these first few breaths,
Letting the breath bring you back home into the body.
Taking your meditation posture,
So feeling like a string is gently pulling you upright.
This allows energy to flow through the spine easily,
Easily.
And that said,
If it feels more comfortable for you to meditate lying down,
Then that's perfectly fine too.
So do whatever feels most comfortable for you.
And if you are sitting upright,
Inviting you to rest your hands gently in your lap,
With your left hand gently cupped in your right,
And the tips of your thumbs touching lightly.
Opening up all the cells in your body to receive this beautiful sound.
Listen with your skin,
The skin,
Not the ears,
Are the largest organs for listening.
Listen with your whole body.
Allowing the sound to guide your body into relaxing and releasing.
Whatever noise or dissonance is in your field.
Imagine the sound is like a brush combing through the hair,
Untangling the knots,
Freeing your beautiful hair.
And even if you don't have a big head of hair,
It's okay,
Just imagine it so.
Imagine what that would be like.
And then send a grounding cord down into the earth.
So imagine that you have tree roots attached to the bottom of your feet,
Or to your hips,
Your pelvis,
And you send those roots down into the earth.
Whatever color,
Whatever shape and size is perfect for you,
Make it so.
Feel them winding their way down and wrapping around the crystalline core of the planet.
So you are perfectly anchored and supported.
Bring the breath,
Breathe a beautiful breath of about four on the inhale,
And six or eight on the exhale.
Out-breath brings your body into a place of deeper rest and relaxation,
Resetting the nervous system,
Coming into a beautiful and deep parasympathetic rest,
Bringing your awareness now into the space in the room.
And what's it like to be aware of space itself?
So shifting from all of the content of the room into awareness itself.
Feeling this open,
Awake space that is you.
And just like the contents of the room,
Don't bother the room.
Feel that whatever is here,
Whatever thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations are arising,
Be the open,
Awake space that has room for all of it.
Not resisting any aspect of what's here,
Allowing everything to be just as it is.
Feel how this open,
Awake space doesn't need anything.
It's not requiring a transformation.
It's not asking you to change in order to be okay.
In this way,
We can see that what you are,
This fundamental open,
Awake space,
This essence of you is actually always already in rhythm with the universe.
You can't make this happen.
You couldn't if you tried.
This natural way of being is in alignment with the universe.
This means that you already are in alignment.
Let that really land for a minute.
You already are in alignment.
If at any point a part of you protests,
Just simply come back with this mantra,
I am in alignment.
I'm in alignment because alignment is my natural state.
I'm in alignment because I am nature.
Nature isn't something separate outside of me.
Rather than trying to do anything,
I let nature reorganize and this pulse of life is always moving and unfolding in natural order.
I let go and I let her have her way.
Some would say I let go and let God,
I stopped thinking I know better.
And the beautiful thing is I get to relax.
I get to do the thing all of us want to do.
We just want to rest and relax,
Right?
To be carried down the river in the flow and feel what that's like now,
Feel how different it is.
Where is she taking me this river?
Where does she want to go?
What if I don't know and I don't need to know?
Not with a small self anyway.
Because you're not separate from her,
You do know.
It's a different kind of knowing though.
It's like a soul knowing,
A heart knowing.
And the energy is different.
Can you feel that?
It's different when you feel and know through the heart and feels tender and sweet,
Playful.
You allow her to dance you,
Move you.
It's such a beautiful dance.
Spirals and fractals.
Spirals and fractals and waves,
Oh my.
This is what we are rewarded with when we tune in to this dance,
This movement playing through our heart.
We have a choice and we can choose this at any moment.
It's right here.
It's closer than close.
