Welcome to this short guided meditation for self-care and self-love.
I am Kate from Home To You Meditations and I am so happy that you have chosen to be here today to allow yourself the care and the love that you deserve.
We can only love another with the same capacity that we love ourselves.
Why can it be so difficult for us to show ourselves the love and compassion and even kindness that we can give so easily to others?
We depend on others to fill that emptiness within us that lack of love for ourselves can leave.
We constantly search outside of ourselves for love,
Acceptance and validation from family,
Friends,
Colleagues,
Even strangers.
We compare ourselves to others,
Judge ourselves too harshly for the mistakes that we've made,
For how we look,
For how we feel,
For how we think we may have failed.
If I was to tell you that everything you ever need is already inside of you and always was,
All the love,
The joy,
The peace,
All the acceptance,
The wisdom,
The knowledge and the validation that you could ever need,
All of it already inside you,
Would you stop your search and sit with yourself and simply allow it all to flow for it is truly as easy as it sounds.
Spending just 10 minutes daily focusing on your own sweet self will shift your life in totally miraculous ways.
I invite you now to promise yourself to make you a priority and give yourself this magical gift of 10 minutes every day just to sit with your attention turned inwards.
You can use this meditation to help you or you can find other meditations that resonate with you and watch the transformation unfold.
Let's get comfortable either lying down or sitting up in a supportive position.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose,
Filling up your abdomen and sigh it out through your mouth.
Breathe in and out.

Allow your body to soften and relax,
Allow your mind to relax.
Just observe any thoughts that may arise without judgement or attachment and let them simply drift by gently bringing your focus back to your breath.
Your breath.
Have you ever thought about how perfectly your body works without any conscious effort?
You breathe in and out without even thinking about it yet when you bring your attention to your breath you are now in charge of it.
Your breath is your best friend.
When you focus on the breath it brings you back into your body.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Feel yourself relax even more and more.
Your body and mind grateful for this precious gift of time just for you.
When love and compassion for yourself begin to swell within you,
Forgive yourself for any mistakes that you think you have made.
You are just human.
Accept yourself just as you are,
Flaws and all,
For you are perfect.
You are a work in progress.
You are the artist and you are the masterpiece.
Breathe in and out.
Repeat after me either out loud or in your own mind the following affirmations.
I am love.
I am lovable.
I am loved.
I release all fear and all that is not for my higher good.
I release all darkness.
I forgive myself.
I accept myself exactly as I am.
I am worthy.
I am enough.
I am the light.
I embrace all of me.
I am grateful for this body.
I am grateful for this life.
Visualize your heart center.
See it filled with love and imagine this pure unconditional love as a beautiful pink light.
Watch this loving light glow and grow and begin to spread out to fill every single cell,
Every muscle,
Every organ,
Every tissue in your body.
Feel it warm and comforting,
Healing and nourishing.
See your entire body now.
Filled with this beautiful loving energy.
You are filled with love and light.
You are love and light.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Bring your attention back to your body now and notice any sensations you may feel.
Become aware of the surface beneath you,
Of the sounds in the room and the sound of my voice and slowly and in your own time come back to the present fully awake,
Fully aware,
Refreshed and renewed.
Take this love and light with you into your day.
