Welcome to this short guided meditation to help you to reconnect with yourself and tune back into your body.
This meditation is for those times that you struggle to get back on track after periods of binge eating,
Overeating,
Following holidays or celebrations when your usual routine has gone out of the window,
Down the road and far away.
If however you feel that you have serious eating issues,
Please reach out to family and friends and seek professional help.
When you want to address any issue or concern in your life or work towards making any changes in your lifestyle,
It's always good to surround or immerse yourself in the energy that will help to shift your consciousness and achieve a positive result.
Therefore it's a good idea to listen to this or a similar practice daily for 21 days to give yourself the best shot at reaching your desired goal.
There are times when we may feel out of control with regard to food.
We don't always eat just to satisfy hunger.
We use food to comfort us,
To ease and relieve stress,
To reward ourselves.
We eat when we are lonely,
Sad,
Bored,
Angry or stressed.
This is called emotional eating.
Using food to make us feel better.
Essentially eating our feelings and trying to fill a void and dull the pain or discomfort that we are really feeling.
Most often emotional eating has the opposite effect,
Making us feel guilty or bad about ourselves for overeating.
It can become an unhealthy cycle where the real feelings or the root cause of the problem are not addressed.
So let me ask you some questions now and if you want to grab a pen and some paper,
Pause this meditation for a minute and write down anything that comes to you freely and with no judgement.
How do you feel about your body now?
Write down anything that comes to your mind.
Try not to think too much about your answers.
Just allow whatever comes up to flow out of you and onto the paper.
How do you feel about your body now?
How do you feel about food?
Again,
Just write down whatever you feel.
There is no judgement here.
This is simply for you.
How do you feel about food?
What are your triggers?
Be aware that you may have more than one,
So simply and honestly write down the feelings,
The situations and even the people that you feel have the power to trigger you.
What are your triggers?
Now you may have some idea of how you are feeling about your body,
About food and possible triggers that can prompt you to comfort or emotional eat.
So let me ask you now,
How do you want to feel about your body?
Do you want to feel good in your skin?
Happy with your shape?
Healthy,
Fit and active?
Write it all down.
How do you want to feel about your body?
How do you want to feel about food?
Do you want to taste and enjoy everything you eat?
Do you want to eat gorgeous nourishing meals and enjoy eating totally guilt free?
Write it all down.
How do you want to feel about food?
Now that you have identified your triggers,
Can you see ways that you can prevent them or strategies that you might be able to implement to minimize the effect of them with regard to food?
Write down any ideas or thoughts now.
Time now to connect with your inner wisdom and reconnect with your body in a loving healthy way.
Make yourself comfortable either lying down or sitting up in a supported position.
Close down your eyes.
Mentally scan your body for any areas of tension or tightness and using the power of your breath,
Breathe into these areas.
Feel your body begin to soften and relax.
Allow your mind to relax.
Place one hand on your heart and the other hand on your belly.
Now focus on breathing into your heart center and as you take in this breath,
Imagine it is a beautiful green light.
As you breathe in this healing loving energy,
Feel it begin to fill up your entire body.
Your whole body bathed in this green light.
Feel it soft,
Soothing,
Healing,
Flowing into every cell of your body.
See the color green.
Feel the color green.
Be the color green.
In green,
Breathe out green.
As you breathe out,
See the beautiful green light fill up all the energy around your aura healed.
Repeat after me,
Either out loud or in your mind,
I am enough.
I honor my body,
My mind and my spirit every day.
Now visualize a perfect pink rose colored light.
See and feel this rose light flow into your heart center and with every breath,
Feel and see it filling up your whole body.
Your entire body is now bathed in this beautiful rose colored light.
Feel it warm,
Loving,
Accepting,
Flowing into every single cell of your body.
See the color pink.
Feel the color pink.
Be the color pink.
Breathe in pink.
Breathe out pink.
As you breathe out,
See the loving pink light fill up your auric field.
Repeat your affirmation out loud or in your own mind,
I am love.
I happily nourish my body,
My mind and my spirit every day.
In your mind's eye,
Visualize a glorious gold colored light.
See and feel this gold light flow into your heart center and as you breathe,
See and feel it filling up your body,
Flowing into every single cell,
Every muscle,
Every tissue of your body.
Your entire body bathed in this gold light.
Feel it healing,
Nourishing,
Empowering,
Uplifting.
See the color gold.
Feel the be the breathing gold and breathe out gold.
As you breathe out,
You see the glorious gold light filling up your auric field.
Repeat after me either out loud or in your own mind.
I honor my body's wisdom by trusting the signals it sends me.
My body is in harmony with my mind and spirit.
I am filled with joy and vitality.
Now see the color white in your mind's eye and begin now to breathe this beautiful white light into your heart center and with every breath,
See and feel this white light flowing to fill up your whole body.
Feel this refreshing,
Cleansing,
Renewing white light filling you up completely.
There are no empty spaces within you.
You are filled with divine light and love.
See the white light.
Feel the white light be.
Breathe in white.
Breathe out white.
As you breathe out,
See the divine white light filling up your auric field.
Either out loud or in your own mind.
My body is my home.
I accept myself as I am.
I lovingly take good care of myself.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Bring your attention back to your body now and the surface beneath you,
To the sounds around you.
Wriggle your fingers and your toes and slowly and in your own time,
You can carry this energy with you throughout your day.
