Hello and welcome to The Inner Map,
A chakra series for beginners.
In this session we'll be exploring your base chakra.
Take a slow breath in,
And as you exhale let the body settle.
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine,
The seat of your root chakra.
Feel where your body meets the ground,
The element of earth,
Of your physical environment.
Notice the weight,
The contact,
The pull of gravity.
This is the foundation of your energy system,
The part of you that connects to the earth and to life itself.
When this centre is out of balance it can feel uncertain or unstable.
You might feel restless,
Anxious or disconnected from your body.
It can show up as tightness through the hips,
The lower back or legs.
And in daily life you might notice tension around money,
Work or your relationship with food,
The core needs that help you feel safe.
Simply notice what's present here with no judgement,
Just compassionate,
Curious awareness.
Now let's take three slow steady breaths.
With each exhale soften the base of your body.
The base of your spine,
Your hips,
Your legs,
Your feet.
Let the out breath release tension and the need to hold it all together.
Exhale fully allowing the ground to hold you.
Feel yourself softening into support.
As this chakra clears and strengthens your energy steadies,
You feel grounded,
Calm and secure.
There's a quiet strength in your body and trust in life's timing.
Your relationship with work,
With food,
With money,
With your home life feels steady and easeful,
Guided by presence.
Let that sense of safety spread through your legs and into the soles of your feet.
The feeling of being home in yourself.
Take a final slow breath here.
Feel the steadiness beneath you,
The body,
Your environment,
The earth.
And silently repeat,
I am safe.
I am supported by life.
When you're ready gently open your eyes.
Thank you for being here and I look forward to our next journey together.
Bye for now.
