Beautiful, thank you Jon 🙏🏼 Love the way you describe focus and open awareness as laser and flood lights 💙

A brief but terrific exercise in working with sight (somewhat like the way we can work with breath or walking) as an anchor for meditation. Suitable for folks at any experience level, in part because it’s its own practice and thus requires no previous training. Definitely bears repeat listening, in all sorts of settings, including walking, sitting inside or out, even working with specific (perhaps overly familiar) images that one wishes to see anew; in fact, next time I want to incorporate tarot cards in the practice. Minor tech Notes: The ending is a bit subtle, with only a bell to signal that the recording is over. There are also some relatively long silences throughout that might throw listeners not used to them. (I admit I thought maybe my device had quit playing a time or two. On the other hand, I appreciated the slower, deliberate pace, which I find preferable to recordings and instructors that don’t give you the time to fully work and experience the technique being explored.) Highly recommended.

Jon, Thank you for this guided meditation. “Notice the space between the thoughts” helped me become present and aware, and peaceful.
