Welcome to your healing relaxation meditation.

Begin by finding a comfortable,

Relaxed position.

Allow your body to begin to relax.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Take a cleansing breath in and breathe out the tension in your body.

Feel relaxation beginning at the bottom of your feet.

It might feel like stepping into a warm bath or maybe it feels like a tingling sensation or simply calm and loose.

Allow this relaxation to spread over your feet and up to your ankles.

Feel the relaxation rise above your ankles flowing up to your lower legs,

Around your knees and continuing up your upper legs.

Allow the relaxation to continue to spread throughout your body,

Rising now to your hips and pelvic area,

To your stomach and low back,

To your chest and now throughout your upper back.

Let your arms hang heavy.

Your elbows,

Your lower arms and your wrists.

Feel the relaxation spread all throughout your hands,

Relaxing the palms of your hands and now the backs of your hands.

Each finger and thumb.

Perhaps you feel a pleasantly warm,

Heavy sensation in your hands.

Feel your body relaxing further as the area up by your collarbones widens and relaxes down.

Allow your shoulders to ease back slightly.

Allow your upper back to relax even further.

Let your shoulders soften and now your neck.

Feel this relaxation spreading down towards your chin,

The back of your head,

Your mouth,

Your cheeks,

Even your nose and now your eyelids.

Heavy,

Relaxed.

Notice your eyebrows.

Unfurl your brow.

Let your ears relax.

Smooth out your forehead.

Let the relaxation spread further to the top of your head.

Your entire body now is relaxed and calm.

You feel this sensation flowing throughout your body from the top of your head to the bottoms of your feet.

You can relax even further as you let your spine relax completely.

Starting where the top of your spine meets your head,

Feel the relaxation.

Feel the muscles giving up their hold and beginning to relax.

Feel it spread down your spine,

Down your neck,

To your upper back,

Middle back and lower back,

All the way down to your tailbone at the bottom of your spine.

Notice how the muscles in your back relax completely.

Breathe in and now hold the breath at the top.

Relax your muscles totally,

Allowing the breath to flow gently now out of your nose or mouth.

Take another deep breath,

Breathing in relaxation and release the breath,

Breathing out any remaining tension.

Continue to breathe smoothly and slowly as you mentally scan your body,

Looking for any remaining tension.

If you notice tension,

Focus on that area.

Direct the relaxation to flow into the area and then carry the tension away.

Imagine that the air you are breathing can cleanse your body and remove this tension.

Imagine that each breath carries in relaxation and then picture the tension in your body leaving with each exhalation.

Now simply relax,

Calmly enjoying the feeling of relaxation for a few moments.

Return your attention now to your body and think about the healing that needs to take place.

Create an image in your mind of your current state of being,

Imagining the physical ailment that troubles you.

It might be pain,

An injury,

Perhaps an illness.

It might be something diagnosed or it may be a problem that is not yet identified.

Whatever it is that you wish to heal,

Picture this problem in your mind right now.

Focus on the specific location in your body where the problem is present.

You might want to imagine the problem as a darkened area and then picture the healing relaxation flowing through your body as light.

See this light of relaxation flowing throughout your entire body and then direct the light of healing relaxation towards the dark area.

Your body is capable of healing itself.

See this healing relaxation promoting and boosting your immune system,

Giving you strength,

Promoting growth of healthy tissue,

Removing unhealthy matter from your body,

Eliminating toxins,

Bacteria or waste and cleaning up your body.

Imagine this light of healing relaxation flowing,

Swirling,

Touching the edges of the dark problem in your body.

Once you notice small pieces of the dark area being carried away by your healing relaxation.

With every exhale,

Allow these dark pieces to leave your body.

Breathe in health,

Healing and calm.

Without tension,

Illness and problems.

Allow the light healing relaxation to continue swirling around the dark problem area.

See the dark area getting smaller.

Imagine the dark area completely enveloped by relaxation.

Now see the healing relaxation making the dark area lighter and lighter,

Carrying away anything that is not good for you.

Imagine your immune system working to heal you.

Maybe you can picture the red and white blood cells doing their job.

Picture the cells you need going to the places they need to go,

Working in favor of healing your body.

Imagine the healing relaxation flowing,

Coursing once again through your body and picture your body in your mind entirely filled with light and calm.

See the problem area in your body healing.

See it becoming even lighter and carrying away any discomfort.

This is the process of healing.

Allow your body to heal itself.

Take in a cleansing breath and breathe out what your body no longer needs.

Breathing in relaxation,

Breathing out the old air.

Relax for a few moments and imagine the healing process going on inside your body,

Feeling confident in your body's ability to heal.

Feeling calm and at peace.

Now,

You can choose to either return to a level of wakefulness and alertness or drift deeper into sleep.

If you choose to awaken,

Feel your body and mind becoming more aware of your surroundings.

If you decide to sleep,

Surrender and let the relaxation deepen.

I will count to three.

When I reach three,

You will be at your desired level of relaxation or alertness.

One,

Two,

Three.
