Welcome,
Welcome.
Thanks for being here.
Let's just take a moment just to be here for a second.
There's something deeply tender about this experience of being a person.
The sense of being someone in a body,
Moving through life,
Meeting circumstances as they come,
Trying to navigate what is arising,
Trying to ease discomfort,
Trying to find stability.
And in one way or another,
There's just this quiet movement toward relief,
Seeking relief,
Toward peace.
And yet the peace that is longed for is not waiting in the future.
It's not dependent on the personality and becoming a better version of ourselves.
Thankfully so.
It isn't certainly found when the character gets it all right.
The peace that's sought is present before the story of who you are arises,
Before memory,
Before commentary,
Before identity.
So yes,
The mind may be active.
There may be thoughts of fear and stories of lack and old narratives playing and replaying.
But all of that is just movement.
What you are,
What you truly are,
Is not moving.
So true meditation is not an effort to improve experience.
It's just this quiet recognition of what's already here.
It's just simply being what is already present.
The I am.
The I am that doesn't come and go.
So for the next little while,
We're not trying to get anywhere.
We're just coming home.
So if you'd like,
You can close your eyes and just let the body sit however it's sitting.
Let the breath move however it moves.
And just notice.
There's breathing.
There are sensations.
There are sounds.
All of it is appearing.
So thoughts may be arising.
That's okay.
Let them.
We are not here to quiet the mind.
We're just here to notice that we are not the mind.
Just gently notice what's already here.
Without referring to memory or stories.
And you just sense the simple feeling of existing.
There's a quiet presence here.
Before the mind names everything.
There's I am.
So we're just resting here.
Before any thought says,
I am tired.
I am overwhelmed.
I'm stressed.
There is simple I am.
Without the story.
There's just this sense of being.
This pure,
Perfect,
Divine essence that you are.
Thoughts may continue to move.
That's not a problem.
They're just appearing in and as the I am.
What you are does not move.
Or change.
Love is what you are.
And you may have heard that many times.
But here.
Without turning it into a concept.
Can you just feel the quiet openness?
That allows everything.
That openness does not resist thought.
Or sensations.
Or fears that may be arising.
Just simply allows.
It welcomes everything.
And that allowing is love.
So if thoughts continue to spin or fear arises or imitation.
Appears.
Or the mind says,
I need this.
And this to change.
Let it arise.
Allow it to be there.
Without trying to improve it.
Just notice.
Is what you are.
But you truly are.
Moving with the fears.
Is what you truly are.
Diminished by the thoughts.
So sometimes life may feel fast.
As it constantly changes and can feel rather unpredictable.
But the I am presence.
That you are.
Has never moved.
It is here.
Whether the mind is busy or.
Whether it's calm.
Whether the body feels well.
Or unwell.
Whether circumstances improve or not.
I am is here.
Unchanged.
Unaffected.
By the thoughts.
Objects of experience.
So let the thoughts swirl.
Let the emotions move.
And the sensations dance.
Because you.
Remain untouched.
You.
Are the very field in which it all appears.
As we gently begin to close our session.
Gently coming back to the room again.
Noticing the sounds and the space around you.
Nothing has changed.
And yet.
There's this simple knowing of being.
There's nothing to cling to.
The sensation to hold on to.
As you move into your day,
You don't go as the character trying to manage life.
You go as pure presence.
I am itself.
As love's presence.
What remains when the image of the person drops.
Is pure presence.
Pure love.
Formless.
Shining.
Luminous.
And in this resting place.
Nothing can touch what you truly are.
So the world will continue to move.
Thoughts will continue to arise.
But you.
You.
Remain.
If your eyes were closed.
You can let them open gently.
And rest is what you are,
Even in the movements of the remainder of your day.
Thank you for joining me.
Namaste
