Welcome to the Mindful Reset,
A meditation to start your day with positivity and intention.
Find a comfortable seat.
Sit up nice and tall,
Whether you're in a chair,
On the floor,
On a cushion.
Allow the crown of your head to stack directly above your tailbone.
Open your belly.
Then wherever you are in your breath,
Let everything out.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Inhale,
Long exhale,
Two more like that,
Inhale.
Then allow your breath to become natural.
Gentle breaths in and out through the nose,
Allowing the breath to breathe exactly as it chooses to in this moment.
I'll turn your full and undivided attention on something you're grateful for,
Something you appreciate,
Value,
Or find amazing.
Allow yourself to slow down,
Truly pause,
And experience where you've set your attention.
Focus whatever sensations you're experiencing with your gaze fixed upon what you're grateful for.
Where in your body do you feel the positivity?
Where in your body are you experiencing a sense of awe?
With each breath,
Amplify that sensation until it consumes your whole being,
Relishing in the experience of gratitude.
With this energy,
Allow the intention for your day to arise,
A way of being,
Or a place to refocus your attention throughout your day.
The way you plan to show up for the unknown,
The unexpected,
It doesn't have to be profound.
The simpler the intention for your day,
The easier it will be to refocus when life moves you off course.
Maybe you're choosing to practice being more present,
Compassionate,
Confident,
Or optimistic.
Whatever you choose,
Allow it to move to your mind's eye.
Allow yourself to see a specific projection of you practicing your intention in the day ahead,
Seeing the energy of positivity you've built washing over your vision,
Fully encompassing your presence.
As you watch yourself live out your intention,
Notice the qualities of this moment.
Where are you in your world?
Who is around you?
How are they responding to how you choose to show up?
Notice small details that you see.
What do you hear,
Smell,
And most of all,
What do you feel?
Fully taking in the sensations of this vision,
To be able to dream the dream before it happens.
Allowing yourself to notice.
Whenever you come across moments like this in your day,
You can choose to refocus your attention on the intention you set for your day,
Right here,
In this moment.
Take one long last look around to take in all of the details of this moment,
Seeing yourself from different perspectives,
Living out your intention,
Noticing the details of your environment,
And how they are responding to how you show up,
Fully trusting that you'll be able to meet life as it meets you,
Gently.
Start to deepen your breath,
Moving out of your vision and into the present moment,
Keeping the energy of positivity that you've built.
Bring small movements to your fingers and your toes,
Maybe rock your head from side to side,
Then whenever you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
You're ready to take on the day ahead,
Bringing positivity to your intention.
