This is a 20 minute meditation that will bring you into the sense of freedom and grace that lies within you so that you'll be nourished in the most profound way from the deepest aspect of your life.
By entering into what we might call the I am within you which is quite different from the acquired mind and the life of conditioning that we've been brought up with,
You'll begin to find that you are more congruent with your true nature and the freedom that lies at the core of your being.
This is the most important and impactful thing we can do for ourselves and for others.
Leaving down all thoughts in exchange for understanding and wisdom.
Moving in the situations of your wonderful ordinary everyday life.
More responsively with less fear and more love.
That love within you,
The most powerful force in the world.
And so I invite you just to begin settling down for this practice now.
We're just going to begin by meeting the breath in a moment.
But first just getting physically comfortable.
Sitting cross-legged or kneeling or in a chair.
Or even lying down if that's the case.
Or if you are sitting up,
Allowing yourself to be upright without force.
Kindly meeting yourself in this moment.
Kindness is key.
Allowing your eyes to be closed.
Or gently open but looking a few feet in front of you.
And just being aware of the feeling of your feet.
So not taking our minds down to our feet but just feeling feet from within.
And just being aware of the feeling of your feet.
So not taking our minds down to our feet but just feeling feet from within.
And of course you can feel the floor beneath your feet.
Aware of your lower legs,
Your knees,
Your thighs,
Quads and thighs,
Your hips.
And coming up the back of the body,
Your buttocks,
Lower spine,
Spine behind your navel,
Behind your heart,
Your shoulder blades,
Your right arm and your right hand,
Your left arm and your left hand.
And coming up the back of your body,
Your right arm,
Aware of the back of your neck,
Back of your head,
Crown of your head,
Your forehead,
Particularly the third eye center.
Allowing your eyes to be soft whether they're open or closed.
Allowing your jaw to be soft.
Perhaps allowing your lips to light up with a gentle inner smile coming from the life within you.
But not creating this smile,
Rather allowing.
Aware of your throat,
Aware of your chest,
Especially your heart.
Aware of your abdomen,
Your lower body,
Your lower spine,
Aware of your reproductive organs,
Excretory organs,
Aware of the feeling of your whole body.
Just feeling your whole body and the energy within your body without judgment or criticism and meeting your body and your energy with kindness.
And allowing yourself to simply feel the life in your body.
That life that is creating your body in this moment,
Perhaps in a hand or a foot or a leg,
Or perhaps you can feel that sense throughout your body.
And just tuning into your natural breath.
This breath that had been with you since the day you were born and will take you through all of your days.
And just feeling your whole body and your whole body.
That had been with you since the day you were born and will take you through all of your days of your life.
And just tuning into your natural breath.
Allowing yourself to notice the inhale and the space,
The exhale,
And the space.
Not changing your breath in any way,
Not trying to control it,
But just meeting it from this place of life within you.
And gently meeting the mind now,
Again with utter kindness.
Feeling the sense and the energy of your mind from within.
Noticing how close it feels.
Not trying to untangle any thoughts,
Or choose one thought over another.
But simply feeling the energy of your mind.
And notice the part of you that is noticing this.
Resting back into that place that is witnessing the energy of your mind.
With less discrimination,
Less being pulled in.
Stepping away from the voice in the head.
And in the same way,
Meeting your feelings,
Your emotion,
Just as energy.
Noticing how you can allow your emotion to simply be there as energy.
And noticing that place that is witnessing your emotion.
This is not a detachment,
Rather it is sitting more fully into the depth of your being.
You're aware of your body now,
Aware of your breath,
Aware of your mind,
Aware of your feelings.
All from the place of noticing inside yourself.
And just recognizing how this feels for you,
Physically,
Emotionally,
Mentally,
Spiritually.
And letting go of all concepts,
And just enjoying that kind sense of resting in yourself.
If mind suddenly flares up and you move into it,
Or emotion in a way.
Not trying to get back to an experience of meditation.
Meditation simply happens.
We don't create it.
Meditation is within us.
It's part of our natural state.
Just coming back to awareness,
Noticing that you've been pulled out.
And that noticing itself is awareness.
And so we just come back through that energy of awareness.
And being aware of the sounds in the room that you're in,
The sound of my voice,
And the sounds from outside of the room.
Resting into the space in between the sounds,
Listening equally to the space in the sounds,
As well as the sounds.
Perhaps even the dynamic silence that lies beneath the sound.
Just like the dynamic silence that lies within your life underneath all of your situations.
Just being in that part of you that feels like I am.
That feels like you.
Original.
Fresh.
New in this moment.
But always.
That is so different from the me voice in the head.
Noticing your wholeness.
The sense of wisdom and depth.
Of clarity.
Of nourishment.
Of love.
That is so different from the me voice in the head.
That is so different from the me voice in the head.
That is so different from the me voice in the head.
That is so different from the me voice in the head.
Feeling your true beauty.
And your wholeness.
Aware of your body.
Aware of your breath.
The mind.
Emotion.
Your senses.
Everything around you.
And your own sense of being.
So beautiful.
And allowing yourself to begin expressing this sense of being in every area of your life.
On your own.
And with others.
Not by speaking about it.
Trying to be something or being spiritual.
But naturally with your being.
This brings the most profound change to ourselves.
And to the life of the world around us.
We may even begin to understand that there is so much we do not know about that we're unconscious of.
And begin to move our light towards becoming more conscious of things that we're unconscious of.
So that healing and change can take place.
Both in ourselves and in the outer world.
Fully present.
Fully here.
And so in a moment we'll draw this meditation to a close.
There's no need to put back on the things we've let go of.
Day by day.
Working with this kind of practice.
We find that we can be in being more of the time in more of the different situations of our lives.
So just allowing yourself to be fully in the room that you're in.
Aware of your body and your breath.
And if you're ready,
We'll bring this meditation to a close.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
Have a beautiful day.
Bless you.
