Hi there,
I'm John.
I hope this little,
Simple,
Five-minute meditation is of service and benefit to you,
Wherever you are right now.
Situations like this,
Like being in waiting rooms and waiting areas,
Often cause us to narrow down in our experience and we can get a bit lost in future thought.
Of course,
We're scared.
So the aim of these few minutes together is just to help you widen out your awareness and to meet whatever it is that you're experiencing right now with a bit of presence and kindness and love for yourself.
So you don't need to close your eyes for this.
You don't need to make any outward signs whatsoever.
Just become aware of the room around you.
Just with the sense of your perception.
Just perhaps noticing more with your body the feeling of the room around you.
Of course you can feel the floor beneath you.
And you feel yourself either standing or sitting.
And that's enough.
Just that awareness is enough.
And I just want to invite you to tune in to the sounds that you can hear.
Noticing that you can hear some space around those sounds.
We're not trying to stop your mind.
Try to stop what you're feeling.
We're just opening up the awareness just a little bit.
In the same way.
Just become aware of the quality of the light in the room that you can see.
Perhaps the other people there.
Notice the space around them.
Space between the objects.
We're not thinking about or judging or criticising,
We're just.
.
.
See you.
Hearing.
And being.
Be aware of the air of the room in your nostrils.
You're aware of the taste that's in your mouth.
You're aware of the chair beneath you.
You're aware of the feeling of your body.
And just notice how you're breathing.
Is your breathing held tight?
Can you perhaps just.
.
.
Be a bit more easeful in your diaphragm.
Just allow that breath to open a little bit.
And notice that even just this simple trip around the census.
Can perhaps allow you to feel a little more present.
A little more here.
A little more yourself.
And of course,
Your meeting.
What you're meeting.
But that's not all that you are.
You can feel the life in your body.
Perhaps just seeing if you can just be.
Easeful and rest into that sense of life in your body.
A little bit more.
If it feels right for you.
I would just invite you to put your hand on your heart.
No one's going to notice.
Just be easeful with your breath.
And allow yourself to be present in your senses.
And you can continue like this for as long as you would like.
And wish you really well today.
I know that I'm just some voice far away as I record this,
But I'm honestly,
Heartfully thinking of you in this moment.
Take care of yourself.
