Welcome to Jones and Foor Breathwork and Meditation.
In today's meditation and breathwork,
We will be working on listening pictures.
It sounds crazy,
But I promise you,
You can do it.
And the more often you practice,
The better you will become and you can make even more vivid pictures.
So first,
Find a place that's comfortable for you.
Some place that's relatively quiet.
You can sit,
You can lay down,
Whatever works.
And then close your eyes and breathe.
Remember to breathe in through your nose and exhale through your nose or mouth.
Nice slow,
Gentle breaths.
Focus on your nose,
On your nostrils,
On that breath coming into your body,
Filling up your lungs.
And then what does it feel like as you exhale,
As you let go of that breath?
Continue to breathe,
Letting your mind focus on the sensation of breathing.
Other thoughts will come into your mind.
They'll try to distract you.
That's okay.
That's part of life.
Recognize that they're there,
Acknowledge them,
But then dismiss them and come back to your breath and focusing on that sensation.
Give it another breath.
Now as you are slowly breathing in and exhaling,
Listen.
Listen to what's around you.
What do you hear?
Do you hear birds?
Do you hear family members?
Maybe your furnace or air conditioning is running.
Focus on one of those things that you hear,
Just one.
And then recreate that person,
That object,
That creature,
Whatever it is,
Recreate it in your mind.
So if it's a bird,
What does it look like?
How big or how small?
What color is it?
Where is it perched?
Whatever you hear,
Recreate it in your mind with as much detail as possible.
Remember to send off any other thoughts that come your way and come back to that sound.
If you find it difficult,
It's okay.
It's tricky at first.
The more and more you practice,
The better you will get with it.
Come back to your breath,
Focus on that sensation of your breath,
And then again listen,
Find one thing,
And then recreate that in as much detail as possible.
Couple more breaths.
One more breath.
Good job.
Come back to your breath,
To that sensation of breathing,
Of entering your body,
And the air leaving your body.
When you are ready,
Start to wiggle your toes and fingers,
Bringing your body back to life,
And you can open your eyes.
Thank you so much for joining me today on this fun breathwork and meditation.
Remember it is tricky at first,
But the more you practice it,
The stronger and better you become.
Thank you again for listening,
And have an incredible day.
Thanks.
