In the yogic text,
It says that there is a light that shines beyond all things on earth and the highest,
Highest heavens.
This is the light that shines within your heart.
This short practice will help you to connect to your luminous self anywhere,
Anytime.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Allowing your hands to rest at your heart center.
Inhale gently into your heart center.
Just feel the breath beneath your hands.
As you exhale,
Consciously rest down into the center of your heart.
And sensing the breath coming into the heart center as you inhale.
And resting into the center of the chest as you exhale.
On your next inhale,
Find gratitude for something that you truly appreciate or are thankful for.
It doesn't need to be a big thing,
Just something where you feel a real felt sense of gratitude.
And as you exhale,
Let this gratitude expand out into the world from your heart.
And repeat this for five breaths,
Perhaps shifting your focus of gratitude each time.
And breathing in one thing you truly are grateful for.
And as you exhale,
Expanding gratitude from your heart out into the world.
And on your next inhale,
This time inhale with the intention of awakening the light within your heart.
And seeing a point of light in the center of the chest.
Inhaling to ignite that light.
And as you exhale,
Allow the light to expand within you and radiate outward,
Enveloping you in its glow.
Continue to breathe in and out,
Visualizing the light forming a protective bubble around you.
And as you rest into this luminous sphere,
Notice how any stress,
Worry or negativity completely dissolves in the light.
Rest into the natural qualities of your heart's light.
Joy.
Peace.
Safety.
And well-being.
And stay here as long as you like.
When you're ready to slowly open your eyes,
Sense your radiance and let it carry you into the rest of your day.
