Hello,
I am Julie Skon and today's meditation is to engage with a deeper,
Super self-love.
We all have those days where we need to slow down a bit more,
To go inside and to remember where it all begins from within.
So let's go in to relax,
Restore and engage with nourishing deep self-love.
Sit cozy,
Sitting up or lying down,
Gently close your eyes and begin to connect to the rhythm of your breath.
See if you can slow down your inhales and your exhales,
Creating a dance,
A cadence of gentle,
Long and sweet deep breaths.
Science shows that just two minutes of focused,
Equal breathing can restore and optimize your nervous system by slowing down your inhales and exhales,
Taking a brief pause between each.
You are signaling to yourself that you are calm,
Safe and that you are willing and able to be connected and present.
As you ease into your breathing rhythm,
I am going to say some words and as we go,
Try and embody the feeling that each word brings to you.
Calm,
Gentle,
Soft,
Slow,
Release,
Ease,
Breathe,
Light,
Present,
Open,
Surrender,
Trust,
Love.
Together let's take a deep inhale in and exhale release and let it all out.
Begin to see yourself surrounded in a beautiful,
Loving,
Kind light.
Any color that you choose,
Any color that resonates with you today.
See that light around you and set an intention for this moment,
For today.
As I guide you through a gentle body scan,
Draw this light and this intention into each part of yourself.
On the tips of your toes,
The soles of your feet,
Your heels and ankles,
Your calves and shins,
Your knees,
Your thighs,
Your hips and pelvis and lower abdomen,
Up your spine,
Filling your chest,
Your lungs,
Your beautiful heart,
Touching your fingertips,
The palms of your hands,
Through your wrists and elbows and upper arms,
Your shoulders,
Your neck,
Through your mouth and jaw,
Your ears and cheeks and temples,
Your eyes,
Your forehead,
The back of your head,
All the way up to your crown at the very top of your head.
Feel this light around you and within you.
If there's anywhere in your body that needs extra attention,
Extra healing,
Extra love,
Guide your breath to that space now and fill it with your intention,
With healing,
With love.
Bring your awareness into your heart,
Your sweet.
Repeat these affirmations in your mind or out loud after me,
Directing each to the very center of your open heart.
Today I am going to be loving to myself.
I am going to see the world with loving eyes.
I am going to communicate from a place of love.
I am going to move from a loving space.
I am going to let love in.
I am going to embody love.
Now that you have cultivated this self love,
Let's share it and spread it.
In your mind begin to visualize another person.
Maybe it's the first person to come to your mind.
See them in front of you.
Notice their unique qualities,
Their special characteristics,
Their values,
Their essence that makes them who they are.
See them in front of you and right from the center of your heart say to them,
I send you my love,
I wish for you what you want most.
May you be healthy,
Happy and know that you are loved.
Now visualize the entire world.
Every star,
Tree,
Animal,
Element,
Every drop of water,
Every person,
Every living thing.
Hold it in your mind and say right from the very center of your heart,
I send you my love,
I wish for you what you want most.
May you be healthy,
Happy and know that you are loved.
Now bring your attention back to yourself one more time.
See yourself in your mind.
All of your qualities,
Your characteristics,
Your values,
Everything that uniquely makes you who you are.
And right from the very center of your heart say to you,
I send you my love,
I wish for you what you want most.
May you be healthy,
Happy and know that you are loved.
One more time together,
Let's take a long,
Slow,
Sweet,
Deep inhale and let it all out with an exhale.
Start to come back into this moment just by listening to the sound of your breath.
Fill yourself with gratitude by repeating the words thank you.
Thank you for taking this time for you.
Thank you for cultivating love for yourself and another and the entire world.
And when you are ready to gently open your eyes,
Do so with loving kindness.
See if you can look around you with new eyes,
With more love.
Begin to slowly move your body,
Wiggling your toes,
Stretching your back,
Rolling your shoulders.
And if it feels right,
You can smile.
