Feel your feet grounded on the floor.
Inhale and exhale.
Let's come back to your senses.
We start with sight.
Look around you.
Notice five things you can see.
Shapes,
Color,
Light,
Shadow.
Let your eyes rest softly on each one of them.
No rush.
Just your eyesight.
Now four things you can hear.
Maybe you want to close your eyes if you'd like.
Otherwise,
Try to soften the gaze and listen to near sounds and far ones.
Layers of life happening around you.
Next,
Three things you can feel.
This texture of your clothing,
The support of the ground beneath you,
Maybe the temperature of the air on your skin,
Your sensations on your skin,
What you can feel.
Now two things you can smell.
Subtle or strong,
Pleasant or neutral,
Simply notice what's here right now.
And the last one is one thing you can taste.
Maybe the aftertaste of the cup of tea or coffee or just the freshness of your breath.
Take one more slow breath in and exhale fully.
Finally,
You are here right now,
Present,
Grounded and exactly where you need to be.
You are capable of resilience and bouncing back.
You are strong,
Present and grounded.
