Hello and welcome.
My name is Katharina Kleiss and this is a slow globe meditation to embrace stillness.
So welcome to this moment of stillness.
As you rest in Shavasana,
Allow your body to melt into the ground beneath you.
Feel your body touching the surface.
Begin to gently bring awareness to your breath.
Notice its natural rhythm.
No need to change it,
Just to observe.
Now imagine you are holding a snow globe in your hands.
You give it a gentle shake and snow begins to swirl inside.
Each snowflake represents a thought,
An emotion,
A sensation.
Just as what you maybe did in your yoga practice before or during the day.
So for a moment hold that picture in front of your eyes.
Simply observing the swirling without judgment,
Without needing to fix or follow anything.
And now after you stop shaking it and just observing,
Imagine the snow slowly beginning to settle bit by bit.
Snowflakes slowing down and gently settling.
With every exhale the flakes descend more gently.
With every breath your thoughts quiet and your mind softens.
The sense within the globe becomes still,
Calm and peaceful.
Let your whole body absorb this stillness.
Observe as well of course.
Feel it settling in your chest,
Your belly,
Your hands and your feet.
Rest here in this quiet space for a few more breaths.
I will leave you for a moment in this stillness.
When you're ready gently begin to deepen your breath.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Maybe if you would like stretch your arms overhead.
Maybe you did a yoga practice before or you just took some time to settle your thoughts and your emotions.
If you would like to hug your knees into your chest and slowly in your own time return to the room.
Roll over to one side and come up into a seated position.
Carry this inner calm with you into the rest of your day.
And thank you for allowing yourself this moment of stillness.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
