Well,
Hello there,
Little traveler.
Are your legs feeling wiggly?
Is your body tired of sitting still?
Are the miles feeling long?
That's okay.
Our bodies weren't made to sit for so long.
And sometimes they just need a little reset.
First,
Let's help those wiggles move.
Squeeze your hands into tight little fists.
Squeeze,
Squeeze,
Squeeze.
And then let go.
Now scrunch your shoulders up high like a tiny turtle hiding in its shell.
Hold it,
And then drop your shoulders.
Push your feet gently into the floor or into your shoes.
Press,
Press.
And then relax.
Now the wiggles are a little smaller.
Let's take a slow breath in through your nose.
And then blow it out slowly like you're cooling off hot soup.
Again,
Inhale calm.
And exhale slow.
The car is moving forward even when it doesn't feel fast.
The wheels are turning.
The road is rolling.
The trip is happening.
You don't have to make it go faster.
Look out your window for just a moment.
See if you can find one green thing,
Something blue,
Something that's moving.
Your brain loves little games like that.
And when your brain feels busy in a good way,
Your body feels calmer too.
Now,
Imagine that your body has a tiny,
Calm button right in the middle of your chest.
When you press it with your hand,
It glows softly.
So go ahead,
Press your calm button.
When it glows,
Your shoulders soften,
Your belly relaxes,
And you're ready to go.
Your face feels so peaceful.
You are such a brave traveler.
You can handle long roads.
You can handle waiting.
You can handle sitting because you know how to reset.
Take one more slow breath in.
And blow it out gently.
And feel your body sinking into your seat.
As the road keeps going and the car keeps moving,
You are calm inside.
Namaste.
