Take a deep breath as your eyes gently close,
And let your exhale let out slow.
Breathe in again,
Bringing your attention right here,
And then breathe out,
Feeling your body melt into this moment.
If your body feels stiff or tight,
Achy in places that once moved freely,
You are not alone.
Perhaps your knees are protesting,
Your hips are whispering discomfort,
Or your shoulders carry a dull heaviness.
It can feel surprising,
But today we're not here to battle your body.
Today,
We are here to befriend her.
Breathe slowly,
Naturally.
Let your body settle into whatever surface supports you.
Notice where discomfort lives.
You don't have to judge it or label it,
Just gently sense it.
Let that warmth move towards the area that aches.
If it's your knees,
See them wrapped in golden light.
If it's your hips or your back,
Let the warmth cradle them gently.
If it's your hands,
Imagine them resting in a bowl of warm water.
Often,
When we feel pain,
We tighten around it,
We brace against it.
See if you can just soften,
Just 1%.
Breathe in,
And as you exhale,
Let the muscles around that joint loosen slightly.
Your body has carried you for decades,
Walked miles,
Maybe even lifted children,
Held grief,
Expressed joy.
Every joint has served you,
So instead of asking it to be as it once was,
Offer gratitude for how it has shown up for you.
Silently say to that part of your body,
Thank you for carrying me.
Notice what shifts when appreciation replaces frustration.
Now,
Imagine that gentle wave of warmth moving through you,
Slow and rhythmic.
It begins at the top of your head and flows down.
Feel it pass through your shoulders,
And feel your shoulders soften.
The wave of warmth moves through your elbows.
Feel them release through your hips.
Feel them loosen through your knees.
Feel them ungrip and through your ankle.
Feel them rest.
Menopause is a season of recalibration.
Hormones shift.
Inflammation changes.
Tissues respond differently.
Nothing is wrong.
Your body is just adjusting,
And you can move through this season with gentleness instead of resistance.
Place both hands somewhere comforting,
Your thighs,
Your belly,
Your heart,
And feel your own touch.
Feel the warmth of your palms.
Rest here for a few more breaths.
Let your body feel supported.
Let your joints feel held in kindness.
Let relief be subtle,
But real.
Namaste.
Beautiful.
