Namaste!

Welcome to the Grounding in Gratitude Meditation for Gaia,

Mother Earth.

This meditation is best done the moment you get out of bed or before your day begins.

Whatever you find comfortable.

First,

Start by planting your feet on the ground.

Make sure you're not wearing any slippers or socks.

Let your bare feet connect directly with the ground.

Take a moment to settle in.

And now,

Gently sit down with your feet still touching the ground.

Bring yourself into a seated position.

With your palms fully spread out on the floor between your feet.

If this position feels uncomfortable,

Simply rest your hands on your lap or on the sides and keep your feet firmly planted on the floor.

If you can,

You can bring all four of your limbs in contact with the earth.

The palms of your hands and the soles of your feet.

Make sure you're comfortable whatever position you find yourself in.

You're grounded.

And now,

Just feel the connection with the ground and your body.

I'll give you a few minutes to settle into this position.

There's no right way or wrong way to sit.

Please don't force yourself.

Just adjust your body to what feels comfortable.

When you're ready,

Gently close your eyes.

Turn your attention inward.

Feel the solid ground beneath your feet and your palms.

Notice the sensation of connection between your body and the floor or the earth.

Allow yourself to relax into that feeling of stability.

Now,

Bring your awareness to the temperature of the ground.

Is it cool,

Warm or neutral?

Then notice the temperature of your body.

Feel the contrast or the harmony between your body's warmth and the earth's energy.

Now,

Imagine a soft glowing yellow light beginning to emerge from your palms and soles of your feet.

This light is warm,

Soothing and radiant.

Visualize it flowing down from your body into the earth.

As you inhale,

Feel the energy building within you.

As you exhale,

Send that yellow light down deep into the ground beneath you.

The light reaches the first layer of earth.

Then it extends to the second layer.

Going deeper and deeper.

Feel the connection growing stronger as the light flows downward.

Now,

The light reaches the third layer of the earth,

Moving closer to its core.

With every breath,

The connection deepens.

Finally,

Imagine the yellow light reaching the very core of the earth,

Where there is a powerful glowing center.

This center radiates warmth,

Strength and life.

It is the heart of Gaia,

Mother Earth.

Feel the energy of the earth's core.

Notice how it responds to your light.

Allow yourself to feel connected to this ancient,

Powerful energy.

Take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

Feel this grounded connection between you and the earth,

Growing stronger and stronger.

One more time now.

Take a deep breath in.

And exhale slowly.

You are supported.

You are rooted in the energy of the earth.

You are in harmony with Gaia,

Mother Earth.

Whenever you're ready,

Gently open your eyes,

Bringing this sense of connection and gratitude with you into your day.

You are grounded.

You are connected.

You are one with the earth.
