My name is Kingo.
I'm here to guide you through this meditation,
To help you feel safe and protected and to fly without any fear or anxiety.
I believe you can do it.
To begin,
Settle in a comfortable seated position.
Elongate your spine and relax your shoulders.
Gently close your eyes.
Ground your attention into the surface beneath you.
May that be a chair or the floor or something else.
And notice that you are supported.
Sense the energy of the space supporting you.
Notice the energy or presence of the surface holding you.
Feel the energy of the air surrounding you.
Now we're going to focus on your breathing,
Which will soothe your thoughts and calm your body.
Deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system,
Which slows your heart rate and allows you to relax.
Regardless of what you think about flying,
You can do it.
Place one of your hands on your belly and breathe in through your nose into your belly.
Your chest and shoulders shouldn't move.
Now breathe out through your mouth.
Take a deep breath in again through your nose,
Feeling your belly expanding.
Hold it in.
Now slowly exhale through your mouth,
Allowing your belly to deflate.
You are already feeling relaxed.
Breathe in calmness.
Breathe out tension.
Allow yourself to relax and let go of any fear.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
You are feeling safe and protected.
Focus on the sensation of your breath,
The cold air entering your nostrils,
Filling your belly with air.
Slowly release the breath through your mouth,
Feeling the warm air leaving your body.
Each breath you take supports your body.
Feel that you are safe and supported.
Let each breath be an offering of protection and support from the space around you.
Continue breathing deeply and steadily,
Without focusing on it.
Let the air flow in like waves.
Allow your focus to move above your head and imagine and imagine a steady stream of warm sunlight flowing down into your body and washing away any tension.
Visualise the sunlight travelling all the way down to your toes,
Bringing with it a sense of ease.
Feel the sunlight slowly travelling down your head,
Your face,
Your throat and neck,
All the way to your torso,
Down to your arms and legs,
Softening any tension in your body.
Sit in the feeling of this warmth,
Calm and comfort.
Allow this feeling to remain.
This warm sunlight is nothing but love flowing to you from the universe,
A higher consciousness filling up every cell of your body.
Feel it warming up every particle in your body,
Like if every cell of yours was receiving a warm,
Protective hug.
Imagine yourself sitting on the plane,
Your body surrounded by a protective,
Shiny,
Golden or white or completely transparent bubble,
Whatever colour you prefer.
This bubble offers you protection and a safe space.
Feel it surrounding you,
Holding you,
Supporting you.
You are feeling safe and protected.
Now imagine a similar bubble surrounding and protecting every fellow passenger on this plane.
Everyone has their own little protection.
These comforting bubbles are here to stay throughout your whole flight.
Look out the window and see that the plane has its own protective bubble.
It makes the whole journey smooth and easy.
Feel yourself pressed into your seat during take-off and feeling safe in your bubble on this plane.
Feel how it also protects and lifts up the plane.
You are feeling safe and protected throughout the whole flight.
You know that when turbulence occurs,
It is nothing but wonky wind currents rocking the plane a bit,
Just like driving on a bumpy road.
No need to worry at all.
Planes are designed to handle and minimise turbulence.
You know this.
If it occurs,
It doesn't scare you anymore because you know that turbulence is caused by a variety of factors,
Including wind currents and changes in air pressure and temperature,
Which can all make the flight experience a little bumpy at times.
But it is all normal.
When you look out your window and see the wing bobbing up and down as the plane experiences turbulence,
There is nothing to be scared of.
Instead,
Be thankful because those flexing wings are like shock absorbers,
Working to smooth out the bumpy ride for you.
You also have the protective bubbles around you and your fellow passengers and the plane protecting you from any potential emergency.
You are feeling calm and nothing bothers you.
You know that any noise and even the sudden movements are all part of flying.
Now repeat after me.
I am safe.
I feel protected.
I trust in the safety of this flight.
I know that the pilot is doing a good job and I know that our safety is his priority.
Feel safe.
I'm in control of my thoughts and emotions.
Now shift your focus to the future.
Everything you have planned after landing,
See it with your mind's eyes.
That after a smooth landing,
You leave the plane.
Is there anyone waiting for you at the airport?
Imagine yourself meeting them.
See yourself feeling happy that you have landed safely and you are back on the ground.
See yourself leaving the airport going to your final destination.
What do you have planned for the rest of the day?
What are you doing the next day?
Who are you with?
Visualize yourself at your final destination,
Having a wonderful time with the people you are with or even alone.
Imagine yourself surrounded by love and joy.
See yourself smiling,
Laughing and enjoying yourself.
Feel the happiness in you and now slowly bring your awareness back to your body and your environment.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Your surroundings may look the same but your body,
Your energy has changed.
You vibrate at a higher frequency.
Place your hand on your heart area and recall the feelings felt during the meditation.
Recall that deep inner knowing that you are safe,
Secure and protected.
Stay connected to these feelings.
Feel them in your heart and remember you are having a safe flight.
