Welcome to this morning gratitude meditation to help you bring the feeling of gratitude alive and awake in your body,
Mind,
And heart.
Let's begin with a brief poem.
Good morning life.
I am grateful to greet you for the opportunity to live into you today,
For the awareness that I am here right now.
Going into this life with all its limitations and with all its abundance,
I can feel grateful for both.
As I greet you life,
I sink into my heart and my attention draws naturally down into my body,
Resting quietly and gently in my heart center.
It is here that peace can come even when a turmoil of emotions rolls around in me.
As I sit still and wait,
Peace arrives and I am grateful when it does.
If you'd like,
Place one hand gently on your heart.
Let's take three mindful deep breaths in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
And with each exhale,
Let your shoulders drop,
Your body relax.
I breathe into my heart and let my awareness travel around my whole body,
Breathing gratitude into my head.
I'm grateful for the sight from my eyes,
The sound from my ears,
The smell from my nose,
Touch from my skin,
The voice I have to express myself.
I let myself linger on the air that moves against my skin,
Feeling sensation in my hands,
In my feet.
I feel the air passing through my throat and feel grateful for my breath.
For the connection,
This breath brings me to all of life as I feel my breath come in and then let it go from my body.
Grateful for the trees and plants that provide the oxygen that my body needs to sustain life.
I feel for my focus that brings me into a deeper,
Deeper part of myself that feels this appreciation for life itself.
I bring my attention down into my heart space and let it rest gently here.
I connect with my breath,
With my heart and so quietly resting,
Not waiting,
Just being in the moment,
Allowing myself to feel my heartbeat.
My breath,
I feel myself supported in this moment,
My body resting gently,
Able to let go and relax while the earth holds me fully.
I feel grateful as I acknowledge the gifts,
So very many gifts of earth,
Air,
Water,
Plants,
Flowers,
Trees,
Land,
Animals,
Birds,
So much life in so many forms.
I feel so grateful to be part of this miracle that is life.
I let myself rest in the gratitude for any and all stillness,
Peace and quiet I've just cultivated and now that I can stay here as long as I want.
I can return whenever I want.
And for this,
My heart feels grateful.
