As the air turns crisp and the days grow quieter, this meditation invites you to slow down and align with the rhythm of the season. Fall isn’t just about letting go—it’s about coming home to yourself. In this calming and empowering journey, you’ll ground into the present moment, release what no longer serves you, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom—just as the trees do. Whether you’re craving rest, clarity, or simply a pause, this practice is your seasonal reset. Breathe in stillness, exhale the rush, and let this be your invitation to shift with the season—gently, mindfully, and with intention.

As the leaves begin to fall,

It's time to let go of what's no longer ours to carry.

This is the perfect time for us to sit back and reflect.

As we watch the leaves fall outside,

We can also let the leaves fall inside of us.

Things that we're holding onto that we just don't want to.

So that's what we're going to do today.

We're going to take a moment to just let our leaves fall so we can regrow what feels good to us.

So take a nice long,

Slow inhale in through the nose and let that go.

Allow your body to settle here.

Wherever you are,

Sitting,

Laying down,

Start to feel rooted,

Like a strong tree,

The ground supporting you.

Your body's feeling a little heavier here,

More present as you connect with each breath.

Just follow your breaths in and out here,

Letting the rest of the world fade away,

Letting everything else just quiet and still.

Now imagine yourself standing in the middle of a forest.

The air is crisp.

The scent of the earth and the leaves surround you.

Golden light filters through the branches.

Everything is quiet,

Not still,

The trees are in motion,

The leaves are releasing,

Letting go.

And as you stand there,

Picture yourself as one of those trees,

Rooted,

Strong,

And yet willingly releasing what no longer serves.

Take a moment to imagine the thoughts,

The habits,

Pressures or the patterns you're ready to let fall.

What feels heavy?

What is no longer aligned?

What's asking to be released?

Let each one of those thoughts drift down like a leaf,

Gracefully,

Naturally,

And without force.

And as you stand here,

Rooted,

Shedding those beautiful leaves,

Hold pride for the lessons they taught you,

But be okay with letting them go,

Because they are no longer yours.

And as they fall,

You can silently say,

I let go,

And just watch them float,

And each exhale releases more.

Take a moment here,

And I will mind the time,

As you reflect and you release.

There's no shame in letting go.

The tree doesn't fear being bare,

It trusts that shedding,

That is part of its natural cycle and so can you.

So looking around at all the beautiful leaves that you've just shed,

Ask yourself,

What am I making space for,

What do I want more of now that I have released?

Now silently repeat to yourself,

I release what no longer serves me.

I trust the timing of my life.

I honor this season of reflection and rest.

I am grounded.

I am grounded.

I am here.

Now bring your awareness back to your body.

Feel the weight of yourself supported by the earth beneath you.

Feel the weight of the earth beneath you.

Feel your breath steady and calm.

Feel your heart beating in rhythm with the quiet wisdom of this season.

Just like nature,

You are allowed to slow down,

To pull in,

To be in recess.

Take one final breath in full and deep and when you're ready,

Gently exhale,

Returning to the present moment.

Feeling strong and steady,

Just like that tree,

Rooted and grounded and perhaps a little lighter having shed those leaves.

Move your body in a way that feels good and then open your eyes when you're ready and enjoy the season of release and come back to this meditation anytime you need to let go or a reminder of how strong and rooted you actually are.

One more inhale in,

Let it go and then have a beautiful day.

Thank you so much for meditating with me.
