There is an element of discomfort in the unknown,
But trying to control everything in our lives can potentially lead to more disruption,
Stress,
Anxiety.
However the act of taking your hands off the wheel and allowing life to unfold naturally can be jarring.
So today we are going to take time to find a little calm and let go.
So find yourself in a comfortable position and start by taking a nice long slow deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Take another nice long slow inhale through your nose and on the exhale close your eyes.
Now continuing to breathe naturally,
Follow the flow of your breath through your nose,
Into your lungs,
Down into your belly and just rest here a moment,
Noticing the rise and fall of your belly as you breathe in and out,
In and out,
Slowing down your breath,
Calming your mind and really being here in this moment right now.
And continuing to notice your breath as it goes in and out,
Smoothing out the breath,
Slowing down,
Smoothing out any hitches in the breath for a continuous slow inhale and exhale.
We are going to begin with a series of affirmations to ground us in this moment and allow us to truly release anything that may be holding us back.
Take a deep breath in and let that go and now silently repeat,
I am letting go.
I am letting go.
I let go of anger.
I let go of frustration.
I let go of perfection.
I let go of people pleasing.
I let go of comparing.
I let go of judgment to myself and to others.
I let go of gossip.
I let go of grudges.
I let go of past missteps.
I let go of guilt.
I let go of the past.
I let go of what's to come.
I am here right now.
In life there are no mistakes,
Just choices you make.
And when we accept that,
We can live a life with no regret.
But instead we will know that each day we are learning,
We are getting stronger,
More resilient and waking up with a chance to start again in a way that makes us thrive.
So we let go and trust that all will be well.
All will work out as it should.
You are in control of how you show up in any circumstance.
You are in control of how you react to any situation that may arise.
You have the ability to let go of unwanted feelings and thoughts.
Let go of the negativity and turn disappointment into opportunity.
So silently repeat,
I let go.
I let go.
Take a deep breath in.
And exhale slowly.
Take a nice long deep breath in once again.
And exhale audibly out through your mouth.
Take one final nice long slow inhale through your nose.
And let it go.
Slowly start to bring yourself back into the room.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
Move your body.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
