Joy Meditation.
This is a meditation to uncover the joy that is a natural part of your being.
Sit or lie down in any comfortable position.
Feel the breath breathing you and feel the natural,
Organic rhythm and pace of the breath.
Notice the wave-like quality and allow yourself to glide on the waves of the breath.
You may even feel yourself dissolving into the breath,
Feeling yourself as the energy of the breath.
Celebrate each breath by filling up on the inhale and inviting deep relaxation on the exhale.
Allow a gentle smile to form on your lips as you experience the energy and flow and vibration and radiance of the breath.
Set your attention free and feel the sensations that are present in the body.
Join them and invite them to be here,
Just as they are.
They might shift and change,
Experience that too,
And then notice the aliveness within you.
Not a passing sensation,
But a feeling of your true nature,
When you are just being and not doing anything.
Know what it's like to just be,
To just be alive as being.
Can you sense the wholeness and ease here?
Give yourself time to experience just being.
As you feel into the ease of being,
Invite a sense of contentment to arise within you.
Where and how do you feel that?
And from contentment,
Perhaps happiness or even joy begins to emerge.
What are the feelings of happiness and joy that are present?
You might remember a time when you felt joyful and just let the experience open up to you.
Where and how do you feel that?
Allow the feelings of joy to spread through you and even feel joy expanding around you.
Let your whole body smile.
You can even release the memory and just bask in the experience of joy itself,
Radiant and expansive.
Take as much time as you need.
Pause the recording to give yourself more time to experience this joy.
The more time you spend cultivating the feelings of joy,
The more easily accessible they will be to you over time.
Return to this meditation and feel into your joy time after time so that it reveals itself to you every day in some way.
Just pause and be here for as long as you'd like,
Continuing to experience joy and even take this with you as you leave this practice.
