As we settle down into Shavasana,
I want you to relax your feet.
Allow your feet to fall gently out to the sides.
Relax your ankles,
Your knees and your thighs.
Allow your glutes and your hips to melt into the mat so your whole bottom half is into relaxation.
One by one,
Allow each vertebrae to melt into your mat.
Feel your shoulder blades sink in and relax all the way up to your shoulders.
Allow your arms to feel heavy by your side,
Down to your elbows,
Your wrists and your hands to your fingertips.
Taking a lovely deep breath in,
Fill the belly up and on the exhale send your belly into relaxation.
And again,
Take a nice deep breath in and on the exhale send your belly into relaxation and find a soothing comfortable breathing rhythm that is right for you.
Soften your chest,
Relax your throat,
Relax your neck,
Feel your head melt into your mat,
With your eyes closed gently.
Soften your eye muscles,
Soften your facial muscles,
Relax your jaw,
Let it just hang like a hammock and just breathe.
There's nothing for you to do right now,
There's nowhere for you to be right now and there's no one for you to be right now.
All you need to do is breathe and relax.
I want you to envision you are in a desert,
A beautiful desert,
The air is warm and there's still a gentle cool breeze.
You are in the middle of a beautiful desert oasis.
Palm trees,
Date trees,
A beautiful water oasis full of crystal clear,
Pure water.
Beautiful lush plants surrounding while out in front of you is the most amazing red flat desert plain.
There is a nice comfortable rock for you to sit on or lay on however you want to watch your sunrise.
As you make yourself comfortable you look out over to the deep flat desert plain and coming up over the horizon is the most beautiful sunrise you have ever seen.
Colours of orange,
Yellow,
Red are coming up in all directions.
It doesn't matter what you do here as long as your thoughts are happy and positive.
Acknowledge anything that comes to mind and if it does not serve you let it go.
Your mind may wonder as you watch the most magnificent sunrise you have ever seen and I will bring you back in just a moment.
Before we come back we look next to you on your rock.
When you notice there is a word etched into the rock.
It may be a word,
It may be also a picture.
Dust the rock and reveal what is on there.
This is a message for you to bring back to the present moment.
With your word or picture just for you it is time to bring awareness back into the room as we reconnect the mind and the body.
One,
Take a nice deep breath in as we awaken the body.
Two,
Start to feel some sensations on your skin,
Some movement in your feet and in your hands.
Three,
Gently raise your arms above your head as you stretch through from your fingertips all the way to your toes as we reawaken after our shavasana.
And when you are ready,
Still with your eyes closed,
Gently rolling over onto your right side.
We have honoured our mind and we have honoured our body.
It is time to honour ourselves and say one kind thing about ourselves today before raising up into sakasa seated position.
Thank you so much for joining me this morning.
Namaste.
