Hi,
It's Mandy here.
Just wanting to share a little practice to help you arrive into the present moment.
So you might like to start by just noticing where you are,
Looking around the room that you find yourself in,
As if for the first time,
Taking in all the different colours,
Textures,
Objects,
Space,
And then maybe just taking a few fuller breaths,
Really feeling deeply into all parts of the body,
The pleasant parts,
The unpleasant parts,
Just noticing the sensations that are here in the body without any judgment or stories or even expectations.
And in the same way you might like to just check in with how your emotional tone is right now,
How you're feeling,
And checking out what thoughts are here as well,
Because of course they'll always be bubbling away in the background.
And as you just sit here in this moment,
Just dropping in this really important question,
What's happening?
What's here now?
And just observing,
Just this moment,
So not ruminating on the past or worrying about the future,
So we're not dwelling in any kind of time travel here,
It's just this moment.
Getting curious,
Like an explorer or a scientist or a child with all of that beautiful awe and wonder.
Ah,
What's this?
And as you breathe with these observations of what's happening right now in this moment,
Maybe also challenging yourself with another little question.
Whatever's here,
Whatever you notice,
Can I be with this?
And accepting this moment just as it is.
And really that's all that practice is,
Just a real short one,
Two questions.
What's happening?
Can I be with this?
Two questions you might like to explore throughout the rest of your day.
Thanks.
See you next time.
