Stress Relief Guided Meditation.
Welcome to this five-minute guided meditation practice designed to help you find relief from stress and bring your nervous system back into balance.
So let's start with finding a comfortable seated position.
Enroll your shoulders back and down making sure that you are sitting with an upright back.
Your hands can be rested in your lap,
On your thighs or on your knees.
Now begin by checking in with yourself.
How are you feeling right now?
How is your breath?
Gently observe anything that might arise.
Now take a deep breath in and as you exhale allow your muscles to soften and your body to become heavy.
Feel the weight of your body sinking into the ground beneath you.
Now bring your attention to the sounds around you.
It could be the sound of your breath,
Any sounds in the distance,
Any sounds that you notice around you.
Now shift your focus to your breath,
Breathing in and out through your nose.
Now begin to slowly deepen your breath,
Breathing all the way into your belly and then exhaling completely.
Continuing at your own pace.
And as we come towards the end of this practice,
Take a moment to notice if anything has shifted in you.
Now slowly start bringing awareness back into your body.
Invite in any movements that feels right for you.
Then gently place your hands on your heart.
Take a moment to thank yourself,
Taking the time to connect with yourself today.
I hope you carry this feeling of calmness with you throughout your day.
Thank you for joining me for this Stress Relief Guided Meditation.
