From frustration and anger to peaceful calming awareness.

We are not here by accident.

We are here by divine appointment.

I am deeply grateful to be your guide.

This is Mary Theresa and welcome.

Breathe deeply,

Experience completely,

And feel freely.

Take a delicious deep cleansing breath,

Then another,

And then a final cleansing breath.

When I experience frustration with a situation,

And when I feel the heat rising in my body,

I know I am becoming angry.

When I know I have entered an angry phase in my emotions,

And I feel trapped in that emotion,

There is something I can do to find relief.

I can first realize that I am human,

And I am on a journey of awareness.

I cannot always be perfectly calm and at peace.

The brain is wired to keep me safe.

It has been taking care of me for many,

Many years,

And I am grateful.

There is something that I can do to assist myself into the awareness of my frustration and anger.

I can first notice the feeling,

An emotional toll,

It is taking on me right in the moment.

I feel the heat rising from my belly and through my torso to my face and head.

I take notice,

And I breathe.

A deep inhale and huge exhale,

A longer exhale than the inhale will trigger the vagus nerve within my brain,

And instantly I become relaxed.

I notice that I am not calm,

And in the instant I see that I am not,

I can realize a new experience.

This is a phase of meditation,

Noticing.

We notice that we are not in the moment,

And once we notice we aren't in the moment,

We actually come back to the moment.

I can embrace my breath.

If needed,

I can walk in a different direction and continue to breathe,

Remembering to exhale longer than I inhale.

The heat in my belly subsides,

And my breathing returns to normal rhythm.

The heat becomes a level of comfort,

And I embrace the calming effect that it has over me.

The situation may not have changed,

But my reaction to it has.

Anger and frustration do not rule my emotions.

I am the power I need to embrace peaceful,

Calming awareness of my emotions.

I am the power.

I do this for my own good.

I do this for myself and those whom I deeply care for.

They need not know I am doing this when it is happening.

They only need to know that I am working on my own personal journey of awareness,

That I am human,

And I do have the power to overcome negative reactions to any emotions I may experience.

I exhale longer than I inhale.

Nowhere is this more apparent than when we experience together the stillness and the quiet of our being.

Go to the center of you,

In the quiet of you,

In the stillness,

And I will meet you on the other side.

In the silence,

In the stillness.

I am the power I need to embrace peaceful,

Calming awareness of my emotions.

I am the power.

And how do you feel?

And how do you feel?

Take this as far into your day as possible.

And now,

Bring your attention around behind your eyes into your meditation space.

Move the bones in your fingers and your toes and your hands and your feet.

Move the bones in your fingers and your toes and your knees and your hips and your shoulders.

Breathe and open your eyes when you are ready.

Let us be free to feel.

And remember,

You are loved.

In the silence of your mind,

In the stillness of your mind,

And I will meet you on the other side.

In the silence of your mind,

In the stillness of your mind,

Meet your Teacher
