Good evening.

You are listening to The Cider House by The Quarry,

A guided meditation and sleep hypnosis that will take you on a journey to a cider house in autumn as you wind around a natural quarry under the brilliant kaleidoscope of changing leaves.

Find a place where you can safely bed down,

Cuddle up and gently drift asleep as you listen to this cozy hypnotic story.

And as you are listening you may think of my voice as the voice of an ally or dear friend who is here to hone in your focus on relaxation as you embrace the experience and visualizations that will allow you to replace whatever lingering thoughts or concerns of your day may pop up.

Whenever your mind drifts to these thoughts you may visualize them becoming like colorful fallen leaves taking flight on a cool autumnal breeze going to a place things go that are no longer needed.

Feeling safe and warm right now as you inhale and exhale perhaps even sighing out audibly if this feels nice.

And again inhale for one two three and exhale for three two one and inhale for one two three and exhale for three two one.

One last time inhale for one two three maybe hold at the top before you exhale for three two one.

Perfect.

Returning your breath to normal as you may feel the slightest shift within your body bringing you to a deeper sense of relaxation than even moments ago.

Studies have shown that the best temperature for sleeping is between 60 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit or 16 to 20 degrees Celsius so it makes sense that we may find such blissful nights of sleep when the autumn crispness takes hold and we are able to snuggle into our softest of blankets with a cleansing cool air inhabiting our lungs and just imagining the feeling of fresh cool air.

You may visualize your feet stepping before you along a path of loose granite surrounded by a threshold of trees in the peak of seasonal change in fall.

Your feet crunching upon the magenta and fiery orange and deep golden leaves that are newly fallen winding your way out of this wooden pathway towards a deep quarry as the Sun reflects its golden rays on the water before you.

Inhaling and exhaling you come to the ledge of the quarry's soaring cliffs looking down upon the turquoise water so far below catching and reflecting each ray of golden light as if the water itself knows how the daylight hours are becoming limited.

Absorbing and sharing the solar brilliance to all around it.

You venture along the edge of the quarry walking further and further down as you spiral around the deep water sensing its depth as a feeling in your heart center and intuitive knowledge of how deep it may be and however deep this beautiful water is offers a similar sense of how deep you may go right now further and further within.

Knowing in this moment of sacred solitude that within you there is always a place you may nurture and keep just for yourself where your thoughts and feelings are protected just as the walls of this quarry offer protection and this makes you smile and feel a relaxation of your face a sense of trust that things will always be okay and that you are always able to look out for you.

It is your birthright.

Continuing deeper and deeper down you make it to a lower ledge just close enough to the water that you may dangle your arm below and touch the still frigid water creating ripples in the deep aquamarine liquid as you catch your own reflection and you see your face in a rippling wave below you.

It has a look of contentment and peace as you close your eyes and exhale.

The air is getting a slight nip as the Sun begins to tuck itself behind the quarry's cliff and you know it is time to start your way back home taking a shortcut that leads you towards another tree-lined path as you find yourself deep in the forest a darkened kaleidoscope of rich colorful leaves some crunching beneath your feet as you playfully kick them along the path feeling carefree and alive right now.

In a moment you wish you could melt down into a golden elixir and carry with you in a vial so you may be able to return to this moment and this splendid feeling at any time.

And as you continue among the fallen foliage a rabbit hops across the saturated colors of the leaves on the ground just as a pair of squirrels playfully quarrel and scale a nearby chestnut tree.

You feel gratitude for this splendor this opportunity to be in tune with nature and the life that is all around you taking you out of yourself and engaging you with the beauty of the world that surrounds you.

Always there for you to witness and enjoy and you round your way further towards the trail that leads you to a manicured orchard of apple trees signifying that you are getting closer to your quarters and your home.

The sky above is a glow from the fiery orange sunset over the silhouette of trees with traces of purples and pinks across the sky.

The sky is saturated with hues that only seem to come this time of year.

The smells of fermenting apples like aged cider meet your nose with their intoxicating sweetness.

You weave between apple trees as a cool breeze envelops your body.

You keep walking weaving between the rows of Macintosh and Fuji and golden delicious apple trees.

The leaves rustling beneath your feet,

Your eyes scanning for the perfect fruit and suddenly you see it.

Gripping your hand around the firm roundness of your favorite varietal,

Feeling as the stem catches and you gracefully snap it away.

You allow the cool roundness of this fruit to rest in your hands,

Bringing it to your nose to take in the fragrance before taking a bite,

Allowing the equal parts of sweetness and acidity to coat your tongue as your mouth waters.

Enjoying the taste of the season as you wipe droplets of the juice that is on your chin,

Feeling so grateful and fulfilled as you continue to walk towards the dancing smoke signal in the sky that comes from the chimney of your stone house.

Many times in life you may consider where you would rather be,

But right now the only place you would like to be is in this moment and that feels so lovely.

To be so aware and mindful that every second has your attention and appreciation,

Feeling at peace and embracing the change of seasons,

Knowing that sometimes change feels difficult,

But right now it just feels right.

And you may remind yourself of how some change feels good,

Like the crisp air and new season,

Allowing you to brace yourself in a blanket at night and cuddle up as you soak in all the warmth and the sacred change as it unfolds.

And you pass by the cider mill,

Smelling the remnants of the sweet macerating apple juices still in the air,

The building now dark as all the workers have gone home for the night,

Leaving a moment for you that feels like you're behind the scenes as a secret observer.

Knowing that tomorrow,

Just as you will rise and start anew,

So too will the machines within the mill grinding away,

Productive on another day.

And you feel a strong sense of history,

The marks of eras gone by.

You come upon the glowing lights outside the stone home that awaits you,

And a patch of pumpkins grows close to the ground in front of the home.

You take in this beauty for a moment.

You bring your tired feet towards the steps to the wooden porch that surrounds the steel gray stones of this historic home,

One step at a time,

Feeling more and more tired.

You turn around and stare out upon the seemingly endless rows of apple trees that are like a deep purple silhouette cast by the light of the glowing moon overhead,

Taking in one last deep breath outdoors as you listen to the sound of the gentle slightly chilly breeze that blows through the property,

Feeling ready to unwind and let go.

You turn and open the heavy wooden door to your home,

Entering the foyer and removing your clothes.

You smell the burning fire and the savory aroma of your favorite chowder.

You remove your shoes and clothes,

Changing into a robe that is draped over the sofa waiting for you.

The home is open and lofty.

You approach the overstuffed sofa that faces the fire burning in the stone-enclosed fireplace,

With flickering firelight casting shadows on the walls and high ceiling above.

You take a seat resting deep within its comforts as it nearly swallows you.

And next to the respite of your plush sofa is a bowl of steaming chowder and a note next to it that is scrawled in cursive with the words,

Made for you with love.

And you feel so very cared for and special,

Knowing you deserve to feel so loved.

You are a good person at the end of a long day who very much deserves to be nurtured and honored right now.

And you take the bowl in your hands,

Spooning the creamy chowder into your mouth as it fills you with a warmth that travels to the depths of your belly.

And you feel full and comforted right now.

So content and at ease.

And as you finish this delicacy,

You find yourself feeling so tired.

Your eyelids are becoming so heavy and you just wish to cuddle up right now,

Pulling a blanket around you as you sing deeper and deeper down.

Inhaling and exhaling.

Your head relaxing into throw pillows that feel as if you are resting on the puffiest of clouds.

And while your body is so warm and comfortable,

The air is still crisp and clean.

And you feel a perfect and sweet balance of warmth.

The inhalation and exhalation of cool air.

It is a wonderful combination.

The fire is glowing.

It is bright and warm.

The smell of pine burning.

The crackling wood and the pops of embers tie you to millions of years of tradition by those brave souls who came before you.

And you feel a resounding braveness and resilience.

Allowing your eyes to open one last time to watch the magical flames dancing around the black soot-laced stone enclosure of the fireplace as you feel ready to drift down,

Deeper and deeper down.

To close your eyes,

Feeling so very heavy and tired.

Thinking about how with autumn there is a gentle transition to winter.

Allowing leaves to change and fall so the trees may stay alive with their branches protected.

Just as they shed what will not serve them through the next season,

You are beginning to shed all that no longer serves you.

Stress and self-doubt.

Worries.

Being in control.

All these feelings melting away as you let go.

Letting these cares go off into the world.

The vastness that surrounds you and is prepared to accept all of this load that you do not need to carry on your own anymore.

In fact,

You never needed to carry them at all.

Fire continues to crackle and burn and you feel the magic in the night.

It permeates through the slight chill and it feels like a wonder.

Feels like a magic that you have not felt in a long time.

Creating an urge to connect with your higher self.

Know the energy and spirits around that are here to help you on your journey.

Guiding you to a destiny that you desire but are not always sure how to achieve.

This night is bringing you a gentle knowing that all is right in the world and all is good within you.

The sense of balance within is a launchpad for your dreams to be realized.

For all you have silently hoped for to achieve and accomplish.

Those goals waiting for you.

Sensing the change within just as the season changes.

For right now you are embodied by love and light.

Your body relaxed by the feelings of warmth and fullness.

So very at ease and content.

Knowing you may let go of my voice at any time.

You feel the heaviness and tiredness overwhelming your body.

You can release your mind from engaging and cross the bridge to your sleeping life.

Surrendering to this peace and serenity.

Surrendering to this moment as you are safe.

You are well.

Your life unfolding.

With each breath a gentle easing.

Breathing with more ease.

Breathing more effortlessly than you have all day.

There is nothing more for you to do.

You have nothing that needs tending.

It is safe to relax and let go right now.

You may drift to the sweetest of sleeps.

To the kindest of dreams.

Free to imagine the best possible scenarios as you live out the best possible dreams behind your closed eyelids.

Just drifting your mind and thoughts like an early morning fog.

Hazy and lucid.

Luring to ease you down to sleep.

To a healing night of rest and relief.

Letting go.

Such a sweet surrender.

Knowing that all will be okay.

Detached from the waking world and drifting to the pleasurable unconscious dreamland.

Where you will find grace and rest.

I am going to count you down.

Feeling heavier and going deeper down with each count.

Drifting away.

Loading to sleep.

Ten.

Nine.

Eight.

Seven.

Six.

Five.

Four.

Three.

Two.

One.

You are safe.

You are at ease.

You are blessed.

You are wise.

You are finding sleep.

Drifting to sleep.

Good night.

I have to bookmark all of your stories so I can come back and listen to them again and again. I do this for two reasons, 1) I LOVE YOU'RE STORIES and 2) I fall asleep so quickly I miss most of the story. 🥰😂🥰😂
