Just try to find a comfortable space where you can close your eyes,
Slow your breathing down,
And just put your attention on your breath.
Notice how breath moves in and how it turns around and moves out again.
Notice the movement of your body.
And just try to keep your attention on your breathing.
And with this meditation,
Our main purpose is simply allowing ourselves the opportunity to rest.
Allowing ourselves the opportunity to let go.
I want you to imagine that you are walking and you're walking up a hill.
And while you're walking,
You're also carrying a large backpack.
And in that backpack,
There are many big and heavy rocks,
Big stones and boulders that you're carrying.
And in this meditation,
As you're walking up the mountain,
You take a moment to stop and simply let yourself have an opportunity to rest by letting go of that large bag.
And in the same way as you would do that when you're going for a walk,
Right now,
Wherever you are meditating in this moment,
You're allowing yourself the opportunity to put down all your worries,
Anything that you feel you're carrying right now in your mind,
With your worries,
With your thoughts.
And just as if you were carrying a large backpack and you took a moment to put it down,
Feel that sense of relief,
Just allowing yourself the opportunity to let go and relax.
Let go of any of your worries,
Any responsibilities,
Any burdens,
Any traumas of the past.
Just like you're putting that big bag down,
You're just putting all of these things aside.
They're still going to be there,
But for now,
You're giving yourself the opportunity to simply let go.
And notice what life is like for a moment without carrying all of that on your mind all day,
Every day,
Just for a moment.
Let's see what it's like to put them down.
And just as though you were standing on the hill and you've put the large bag down,
And you just enjoy that feeling of rest,
After some time you realise that just carrying yourself,
Just standing there,
Also feels like you need to rest.
And you notice a soft patch of grass on the hill,
The mountain that you've been climbing,
There's a nice soft patch of grass,
And you realise that just carrying yourself is also too much and you want to give yourself a rest.
So just as you would lie down on a piece of grass and lay there,
Right now,
As you drop all of your concerns and your worries,
Realise that you're also carrying this idea of me,
All day,
Every day,
And you want to put that down as well.
Just for a moment,
Let go of me,
The burden of carrying the myself,
The me,
The I am,
That this is me and these are all the things I do with my life.
Put all of that aside,
Let them all go and notice the freedom of simply letting go.
And when you lay down on that grass,
You realise that all this time,
You thought you were carrying yourself,
You were carrying that large backpack with all the large rocks in there,
And a moment of clarity comes over your mind and you realise that all this time,
It was actually the hill,
The mountain that you were walking on,
That was doing all the lifting,
The mountain was carrying you and the bag,
And in the same way,
When you let go of the I am,
When you let go of all of your thoughts,
All your responsibilities and worries and traumas,
You realise that there is something,
A stillness,
That has always been there,
Even behind the I am.
That is what has been carrying you,
That universal force,
That life force,
The thing that makes your body move,
The energy that makes you breathe,
That makes your heart pump and the blood circulate around your body,
The energy that makes the sun rise and the stars shine,
That energy is what has been carrying you.
So for a moment,
Be that let go of the I am,
Be that,
Be the mountain carrying the climber and all of its baggage,
Be that total oneness that is carrying you,
The illusion of the I am and all the worries of the I am.
Let go of it all into that oneness that has always been carrying you.
That is the one making you breathe right now.
And bring your awareness back to your breathing.
And when you are ready,
Bring yourself back and open your eyes.
