Close your eyes,
Slow your breathing down and just try to become aware of your body right here in this moment.
Notice how your body feels,
Any movements or sensations happening in your body,
Are there any aches or pains?
Try to slow your breathing down.
Notice the movement of your body as you inhale and exhale out again.
Notice if your mind starts thinking about other things,
If your mind tries to go elsewhere.
Don't fight the thought,
Simply let that thought float away as soon as you're aware that your mind has become distracted,
Allow that thought to float away and just bring your attention back to your breathing.
Use this moment as an opportunity to slow down.
If your day is very busy,
If there are lots of things on your mind,
Use this meditation as a chance to be with yourself,
To slow yourself down and appreciate where you are and what you have right here,
Right now in this moment.
Rather than focusing on your worries,
Just be grateful for all the gifts that you have right now,
The gift of body,
The gift of breath,
The gift of comfort,
Of food.
Try,
If you can for a moment,
Just to smile as you are meditating and notice the change in your mood that happens simply by making yourself smile.
Take a few more deep breaths in and when you're ready,
Bring yourself back into the room and open your eyes.
