Welcome to this new moon meditation.

My name is Natalie and thank you so much for joining me here today.

The new moon marks the beginning of the lunar cycle.

It is a powerful moment of inward reflection.

A cosmic pause between endings and new beginnings.

Just as the moon disappears from view,

We too are invited to go inward.

To listen deeply to our intention,

Our intuition and to reconnect with our inner truth.

This is a time for potent potential.

A fertile ground for setting intentions.

Also known as sankalpas that will grow as the moon waxes towards fullness.

In this meditation we will gently awaken the body,

Set our personal sankalpa and plant it in the fertile soil of our consciousness through visualization and stillness.

I would like to invite you to find a comfortable position,

Whether you're lying down or remain seated.

Close your eyes if it feels safe for you and let's begin by anchoring ourselves in the breath.

Feel the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale,

As if the breath is gently rocking you.

Inhale deeply through the nose and exhale fully through the mouth.

Two more times.

Inhale,

Exhale.

And one more.

Inhale and exhale.

Feel how your body begins to settle,

Supported by the ground beneath you.

You are safe to let go,

You are held.

Now we will move through the body using gentle awareness.

Simply bring your attention to each part as I name it,

Allowing it to soften,

Relax and release tension.

Bring your awareness to the right hand thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger,

Both legs together,

The whole right arm,

The whole left arm,

Both arms together,

Your torso,

Your head,

Your whole body,

Your whole body,

Your whole body is relaxed.

Now that your body is relaxed,

We prepare the inner soul for intention.

A sankalpa is a short,

Clear,

Positive statement made from the heart,

An intention you wish to plant and nourish throughout this lunar cycle.

You may already know your sankalpa or one may arise now from your intuition.

Here are some examples to inspire you.

I will repeat every sankalpa twice.

I trust the unfolding of my path.

I welcome new beginnings with courage and grace.

I welcome new beginnings with courage and grace.

I am grounded and open to possibility.

I am grounded and open to possibility.

I listen to my intuition with ease.

I listen to my intuition with ease.

I am aligned with my purpose.

I am aligned with my purpose.

Now choose one that feels right or create your own.

Now repeat your sankalpa inwardly three times with quiet certainty and a heartfelt belief.

Now imagine yourself walking through a vast,

Peaceful landscape at twilight.

The sky above you is deep and dark,

Soft with starlight.

The moon is hidden,

Yet its presence is deeply felt,

Like a quiet promise in the night.

You find a place to sit or lie down beneath the sky and in the darkness you feel safe,

Ready to release the past and welcome something new.

Before you,

A garden begins to appear,

Rich,

Fertile,

Earthed,

Freshly turned.

You hold your sankalpa in your hands as if it were a small glowing seed.

With care you plant this seed into the soil.

You cover it gently.

You water it with breath,

With patience and with trust.

Feel the energy of your intention glowing in the earth,

Beginning its quiet unseen transformation.

The night is still and though nothing appears to change,

The shift has already begun.

Feel this truth in your body.

Breathe it in.

Now as this meditation comes to a close,

Consider how you might nurture your intuition and intention in the days to come.

Here are three simple ways to work with new moon energy in daily life.

I want to invite you first and foremost to journal after this practice.

Write down your sankalpa,

Your feelings and any imaginary that came to you.

Second,

I want you to create space for new beginnings.

Declutter one small area in your home or in your mind.

And lastly,

Ritualize your intentions.

Light a candle,

Create a symbol,

Maybe create an altar or simply repeat your sankalpa each morning during this lunar phase.

Let your actions mirror your inner growth.

And now slowly,

Slowly begin to return to your body.

Feel the breath in your belly.

Feel the ground beneath you.

Feel the temperature in the room,

The air on your skin and gently move your fingers and your toes.

Maybe you want to take a deep body stretch or roll your shoulders.

There is no rush.

Whenever you are ready,

Bring your hands to your heart center.

Take a deep breath in and exhale gently,

Sealing your intention with gratitude.

The new moon energy will continue to support you as you move forward.

May your path unfold with clarity,

Strength and peace.

Thank you for joining the sacred practice.

You can come back to this every month.

And may you now continue your day or drift into rest,

Carrying your intention led gently with you.

Until the next time.

Namaste.
