Hello,
My name is Oksana Lazda and welcome to this Shavasana meditation that can be done after the yoga practice or at any time of the day when you feel like you need a space to relax and move from the state of doing into the state of being.
So take your time to settle yourself in the most comfortable way,
Maybe laying down on your mat,
Maybe making yourself comfortable in your bed,
Laying down on your back,
Keeping your legs slightly away from each other and arms away from your body with palms facing up.
Maybe taking a deep inhale through the nose,
Hold and exhale through the mouth,
Allowing your body to soften and see if you can allow yourself to be just 10% more comfortable,
Making all necessary adjustments so you can really soften,
Allowing your body to be heavy and melt into the surface underneath you,
Allowing your hands to become soft and by doing that maybe you can also soften the grip that you hold towards life,
Feeling the back of the neck starting to become lighter and if this area still feels a little bit tense,
Press the top of the shoulders towards the surface underneath you and down and see if you can allow yourself to relax just a little bit more,
Allow your senses to open,
Feeling the touch of air on your skin and noticing the points of contact where your body is touching the ground,
Your heels,
Shins,
Back of the legs,
Your buttocks,
Back of the ribs,
Shoulders,
Upper arms,
Elbows,
Forearms,
Top of the hands and the back of the head and as you scan your body,
See if in any of these points you are resisting to let go and then just let go,
Allowing yourself to melt as a chocolate under the hot sun,
Just by putting an intention there and witnessing how your body follows,
Hear the sounds around you and soften your sense of hearing,
Allowing every sound to be as it is,
To be simply a sound,
There is no right or wrong sound,
It's just sounds and notice how just by allowing all the sounds around you are turning into something more soothing,
Keep your eyes gently closed and allow for your gaze to soften,
Turning your sense of seeing into a sense of feeling and instead of looking outside,
Start to feel inside,
Notice the taste in your mouth and allow your tongue to relax,
Let your lips part a little and then bring them back together with just a hint of the smile,
Feel the smell of air around you,
Feel this air touching your nostrils on every inhale and feel the warm touch of air just under the nostrils,
Above the upper lip,
On every exhale,
Allowing your breath to flow in and out as waves in the ocean approaching the shore,
Coming and going,
In and out,
In and out.
Very gently allow your breath to become wider and deeper and exhales longer,
Feeling your body expanding on every inhale and softly contracting on every exhale,
Allowing this movement to become bigger,
Allowing every inhale to bring new energy into your body,
New perspective,
New way to experience things,
New way to see things and maybe new way to be inside the experience and with every exhale allow yourself to let go and letting go doesn't mean to getting rid of something but simply allowing it to be as it is,
Just allowing reality to be a reality and to allow ourselves experience the present experience.
Allowing your body to move in ways it wants to be moved right now,
Maybe wiggling your toes,
Moving your fingers,
Maybe turning your head from right to left and left to right,
Maybe bringing your feet together,
Pointing your toes and stretching the arms above the head,
Taking a deep inhale and exhale through the mouth,
Allowing your body to awaken,
Letting your breath open up and exhale again,
Taking a deep inhale and exhaling.
You
