Hi and welcome to this meditation practice for renewal and growth.
Come into a comfortable position either seated or lying down with your hands either resting in your lap or at your sides and allow your eyes to gently close or rest your gaze on a spot in front of you and just begin to notice your breath as it naturally flows into and out of your body.
Notice where you can feel the breath the most whether that's at the nostrils,
The throat,
Or the chest or the belly.
Simply breathe naturally here and allow yourself to settle in.
Now without forcing or straining see if you can deepen your breath a bit breathing in to a count of three and exhaling to a count of five.
With each inhale fill your belly up with air and with each exhale let it all out.
Breathe like this for three full cycles.
In two three pause out two three four five.
Do this for two more full cycles.
Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm and flow and just notice what it feels like to breathe easy and relaxed.
Next bring your attention to your head.
Relax your forehead and the area around your eyes moving down into the mouth and jaw area relaxing your jaw and allowing your lips to part slightly if that feels good to you.
Moving down into the neck and shoulders allowing them to relax allowing your shoulders to drop away from your ears.
Relax your arms your hands your fingers let them be heavy in your lap or at your sides.
Feel your chest your stomach and your legs become heavy with relaxation and feel the support of the surface beneath you holding you in this space.
Now begin to visualize yourself standing in a field of beautiful flowers surrounded by the vibrant colors of spring.
The air is warm and the sun is shining down on you filling you with its warmth and energy.
Take a deep breath in here feeling the fresh new energy of the spring season and exhale slowly letting go of any negative thoughts or feelings and as you stand in this field notice the flowers and the plants around you each one bursting with new life and growth.
Allow yourself to connect with the energy of this new growth feeling it flow through your body and fill you with renewed energy and vitality.
Next bring your attention to the ground beneath your feet and imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet extending deep into the earth.
These roots are strong and sturdy firmly anchoring you to the earth and grounding you in this present moment.
As you continue to breathe here imagine the energy of the earth flowing up through the roots and into your body.
The energy is vibrant and powerful and filling you with strength and resilience.
Allow yourself to feel this energy flowing through your body nourishing and supporting you.
Now imagine the sun's rays beaming down from the sky and illuminating you with their warm golden light filling you with warmth and vitality and as you absorb the sun's rays imagine that they're filling every cell in your body energizing and renewing you taking a few moments here to bask in the sunlight feeling its warmth and energy washing over you feeling the energy of spring all around you.
Now bring to mind a goal or an intention that you'd like to set for the coming months.
It could be something related to your personal life,
Your career,
Or your health and well-being.
Whatever it is allow yourself to connect with it fully feeling the excitement and potential of this new beginning.
Visualize this intention as a seed planted deep within your heart.
See it as a small delicate seedling just beginning to sprout and grow.
With each passing day the seedling grows stronger and taller and as you visualize this seedling growing allow yourself to feel the energy of this growth and renewal that's all around you.
Feel yourself growing stronger and more resilient with each passing moment filled with the potential and possibility of new beginnings and as you continue to breathe connect with the feeling of the energy of spring filling your lungs and renewing your spirit.
Now bring your awareness back to your breath back to your body seated here and notice how you're feeling.
When you're ready gently open your eyes and bring yourself back to the present moment in the space around you.
Know that you can return to this meditation at any time using it as a tool to connect with the energy of spring and the potential for growth and renewal that it represents.
Thank you so much for joining me in this practice today.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
