I know that you will instinctively know what I'm talking about when I say that when I'm working with people,
I often feel that I'm speaking to someone who's standing in a small,
Dark hut.
And I'm saying to them,
You know,
You're in this dark place,
But you actually own a beautiful palace that is just,
You know,
Your wildest dreams of where you would like to live with all your needs being taken care of.
And it's your house.
Now this doesn't really make sense to the person intellectually,
And it may not make sense at the head level,
But all of us know that we have this birthright,
Deep in our hearts we have this birthright for the life that we came here to live and to bring in the wisdom and the intelligence of our true nature,
Which has a genius quality.
All of us,
No matter what our IQ is,
Particularly,
If we bring in our soul energy,
It gives us a kind of a genius quality because our souls are,
You know,
Infinitely intelligent.
And we're just,
You know,
We're just all sort of stuck in these one room,
Dark little huts of who we think we are and what we think our capacities are.
And we're so far from the truth of things.
And lots of times,
You know,
We'll hold on tightly,
We'll argue for,
You know,
To keep living in the hut and not dare to,
You know,
Go,
You know,
Walk a few yards to this beautiful palace because underneath many of us feel we don't deserve it,
That we're not much.
And this is the biggest delusion of all because we're just infinite beings.
Yeah.
And I know,
You know,
It was hard enough working with my own self over the years for me to come to this bigger understanding.
And now I turn and try to help other people.
And it's the same old stuff that I labored under too.
It's all this kind of thinking that you're wrong,
That you're doing it wrong,
That other people must know better,
Especially if they say they know better.
And maybe if they've got a PhD or,
You know,
A doctor in front of their name,
They must know better.
Not necessarily.
You know,
Respect the education,
But the wisdom of the heart is invincible.
It's like my feeling that my son would heal from the leukemia that was considered incurable by the doctors.
So it's to learn to dare move from the hut,
Which probably has like a leaking roof and maybe the electricity doesn't work too well.
You know,
When we,
There's a metaphor for how we might feel our dreams aren't coming true or we may feel stuck.
It takes courage to even imagine that there's a palace sitting right very close by and it's got your name on the deed.
Yeah.
And I'm not even talking about particularly monetary wealth.
You know,
That sure can come.
I mean,
Actually,
You know,
The more,
You know what I've found,
The more I'm in truth,
The more I get supported effortlessly without any struggle.
But it's not even the monetary thing of the palace.
It's just the expansion in your understanding.
You know,
If you can go gentle,
Gentler with yourself at all,
You know,
Just imagine that all the things that you beat yourself up about or you think are,
You know,
Your faults,
Your limitations.
I mean,
Just imagine that they're kind of like the other side of your greater strength.
You know,
Kind of like the iceberg,
Like the tip shows,
But the hugeness is hidden.
It's like often the best of us is hidden and only the tip of something will show.
And sometimes it's kind of a frailty that shows,
But actually,
If we embrace it and embrace ourselves,
It turns into a strength.
For example,
You know,
I always started off as a journalist and I was too thin skinned and I didn't do well under pressure.
And it's like,
You know,
I wasn't the best journalist,
But,
You know,
I had healing capabilities.
So that's the iceberg under the water.
And that's why I didn't,
You know,
Was never meant to be a journalist for long.
See,
So our frailties are often like,
They're just trying to steer us in the right direction.
Anyway,
I hope this is understandable.
You know,
This is what the,
You know,
The Zen Buddhas have been talking about in their parables and in the East,
The sages have been talking about for thousands of years.
And we in the West,
We're just waking up and we want,
Of course,
The answers right away,
Right away,
Quick,
Quick,
Quick,
Quick.
It doesn't really happen like that.
But even just hearing this and thinking about that,
Maybe you have a beautiful palace waiting for you of coming from an enhanced understanding of yourself and of life and please a gentleness with yourself.
It was my habit of sending compassion to myself for every frailty that saved me.
It got me out of my very Virgo,
Being,
Crucifying myself regularly.
And I just would have ended up a really neurotic woman.
So please,
Self-compassion,
Just always give yourself the benefit of the doubt.
And then gradually,
Just imagine,
You know,
Moving into the mansion,
Even if you just play with it at nighttime in the understanding that it's,
You know,
Maybe physical,
Maybe there really is a palace for you in your life pattern.
But,
You know,
Maybe it's just a metaphor for being really at peace and really expanded and living with all your capacities.
And I'll tell you,
That's what a lot of our anxiety is about.
We're scared of the hugeness of who we are.
So,
You know,
If you feel anxious,
Remember,
Just observe the storyline and understand that,
You know,
You're really scared of kind of moving into the palace.
Okay.
I just wanted to say all this,
You know,
So much love for you and so much understanding and bless your dear hearts.
