Welcome to this restorative meditation.
My name is Nicole and I'll be your guide.
Finding your way into a position that enables comfort,
Relaxation and rest.
Closing your eyes if that's comfortable or taking a soft gaze.
It's right for you bringing in a few slow deep breaths,
A full long inhale through your nose if possible and a long full exhale through your mouth.
Taking a few cycles of that deep breathing,
Seeing if you can soften any tension you might be holding in your forehead of your eyebrows.
Releasing any tension in your jaw and dropping your shoulders.
Bringing your attention to your breath.
Returning now to its natural pace and rhythm and just noticing the feeling of each inhale and exhale.
Feeling the air as it enters your nose and travels down into your lungs and then gently flows out again.
With each breath allowing your body to relax and release stress and tension it's holding.
Inviting you now to bring to mind an image of a beautiful peaceful place,
Perhaps a calming beautiful spot in nature,
Maybe a beach,
A forest or garden.
Inviting yourself into that beautiful space and noticing the colors,
The light and all the details.
Tuning in to whatever sounds are present.
Feeling the temperature on your skin.
Feeling the earth beneath you supporting you.
Making your way into a comfortable seat or lying down in this beautiful,
Comfortable,
Serene place.
It's feeling rested and supported here.
While you're laying or sitting there,
Bringing your awareness to the top of your head and inviting you to envision a ball of warm light hovering at the top of your head,
Your crown,
And this warm light shining into your crown,
Into the top of your head.
Its rays covering your face,
Completely surrounding your head,
Much like rays of sunshine.
Feeling its warmth.
Inviting this light to travel down the front of your body.
Hovering next over your throat,
Your throat chakra and shining its warm rays of light into that space.
Shining over your heart and your chest.
Feeling the warmth there and down to your stomach and the center of your body.
Moving down now to the base of your spine and your seat.
These rays touch each of your hips,
Soothing your hips with its warm light.
Moving down to your thighs,
The warm light traveling to your knees and shining there.
Continuing down to your shins,
Ankles,
And feet.
Feeling this healing warm light on the soles of your feet.
And imagining this light beaming from the soles of each of your feet down into the earth.
Connecting you to the earth and this light can bring with it any stress and tension that's ready to be released and it can go into the earth.
The earth can take it from you and transform and transmute it into something beautiful.
And this light can also pull up healing from the earth and bring it into your body through the soles of your feet.
Just allowing for this exchange of releasing and unloading anything into the light that you're ready to release and heal.
Releasing and sending it into the earth to be cared for.
And bringing up healing and restorative energy from the earth.
Bringing into the sensations of your body,
Starting at your feet and moving back up to your shins and knees,
Thighs and hips,
Your sits bones,
Your core in the center of your body,
Your chest and heart,
Your throat and shoulders,
Your face and the top of your head.
And feeling these healing rays of light flowing down from the top of your head all the way down to your toes,
Holding and surrounding and supporting your entire body.
Bringing your awareness back to your breath and bringing in a few mindful breaths.
And we'll begin to gently transition out of this practice.
Taking as much time as you need.
When you're ready,
Bringing some movement to your body and gently opening your eyes.
I want to thank you for practicing with me today.
I wish you a beautiful rest of your day.
Be well.
