Details

There's a part of you that has never fully gone quiet. It's the part that wants to stand somewhere wild, do the thing that scares you a little, and feel fully, unmistakably alive. UnBound is eight days of getting her back. We spend the week at Tawa Refugio, a family-run lodge where Lake Tagua Tagua pours into the Puelo River in northern Patagonia, Chile. It's wood and glass tucked into the hillside, ringed by rainforest and the Andes, with no cell service in the valley. We go in April, which is mid-autumn there. The forests turn red and gold, the lakes go still, mushrooms come up everywhere, and the trails are empty. Our local guides say it's their favorite month of the year. This isn't an escape from your life. It's a few days wild enough to remind you who you are underneath all of it: still strong, still curious, still capable of awe. The retreat is built on the UnBound Method, five threads that run through every practice, hike, and conversation. You'll face a little fear in a supported group, reconnect with what lights you up, build confidence on and off the mat, practice healthy boundaries, and learn manifestation the grounded way. That means clarity plus a regulated nervous system plus aligned action, not magical thinking. Underneath it all is Autumn's Rooted & Radiant Vinyasa, which moves from grounding into effort and then into deep rest. It trains your nervous system to move between effort and ease. You'll leave with a nervous system that remembers what settled feels like. You'll also have the self-trust that comes from doing something hard in a wild place, friendships with women who get it, and practical tools to take home: breathwork, Yoga Nidra, and the science of how change actually happens. The group is small, capped at 14 women. Most are 35–60 and most come alone. You don't need to be an advanced yogi, and every activity is optional. Come as you are.

A few years ago, the Tagua - a native bird of Chile - lived here, in the Puelo River, building its nests on the shore of Tagua Tagua Lake. In Tawa, Refugio del Puelo, we were inspired by the history of this bird and created a space of harmony and connection with nature, where you can live a cozy, unique, simple and authentic experience, a true refuge in the immensity of this valley. A place to dream, a place to plan adventures, a place to explore, a place to share and also to rest while enjoying the simplicity, elegance and warmth that only nature can give us.

You'll stay 7 nights at Tawa Refugio del Puelo, a family-run lodge where Lake Tagua Tagua pours into the Puelo River, ringed by rainforest and the Andes. It's wood and glass tucked into the hillside, with windows that frame the water and mountains from nearly every room. The beds are deep and the riverside hot tubs are always waiting. Every room has river and forest views and a private ensuite bathroom.

Schedule

UnBound is an eight-day journey that moves between wild adventure by day and deep rest by night. The shape flexes with the weather and the group, and every activity is optional. A typical day moves from morning yoga, through an adventure or rest block, into an evening practice, with real downtime built in. We gather for lunch in Puerto Varas on day one and travel together through Cochamó into the Puelo Valley. The first days are for settling in and landing. From there, the week builds through three signature adventures: the full-day Cuatro Lagos boat and trek deep into gaucho country, a half-day kayaking on the lake, and a day at the Termas del Sol volcanic hot springs. Alongside those, you'll have daily vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, Roll & Restore, and a workshop on intention, boundaries, and aligned action. The final days turn inward, with free time to integrate, a closing ceremony, and a celebration dinner together before we transfer back on the last morning.

Testimonials

info

"This was literally a life-changing experience. It was worth every penny and more. The environment and atmosphere was divine. I truly treasured the content and teaching. I felt completely supported, serene, and inspired to attend another retreat in the future." Patagonia, January 2026

Lindsey W., United States

"The best venue with the best food, the best group of women with the best instructor! I felt so grounded in this magical place. All the weight of the world I had been carrying around with me immediately melted away, and I was able to refill my empty cup with the natural stream waters of Patagonia. Morning and evening yoga, fire heated hot tubs, amazing vistas, invigorating excursions including hiking in the rainforest, kayaking, and horseback riding. I am leaving with a new network of women that have my back." Patagonia, January 2026

Vala P., United States

"What a grounding, inspiring and nourishing adventure this was! The location of the retreat was beyond stunning — the surrounding nature in itself would have been worth the trip! Her yoga as always was thoughtful and energetically calibrated to the moment and to the group's needs. I left feeling refreshed, centered, and inspired — and with tools that I can use to build on my own return to yoga as well as my ongoing spiritual growth." Patagonia, January 2026

Cindy P., United States

"I had an outstanding time and would go on another trip with Autumn in a heartbeat. The location of the retreat was beautiful. The accommodations were inspiring. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious." Patagonia, January 2026

Tracy P., United States

"This was my third yoga retreat with Autumn. In fact, many of the participants this time were 'repeaters' of Autumn's retreats. We didn't know each other, but we all recognized the quality of experience that Autumn provides — and we all wanted to experience it again. Autumn does an excellent job researching all of her retreat locations and she personally vets each property beforehand… MOST IMPORTANTLY, the sense of community and connection she has fostered: when you arrive you won't be anyone's wife/partner/daughter/mom — you will just be seen as YOU. That is priceless." Thailand, March 2025

Andrea M., United States

"You don't have to be good at yoga to come. You don't have to have the right attire. You don't have to know all about yoga. The value is invaluable… Just come, because it's a supportive group of women here to build each other up. Invest in yourself, because you're worth it." Sedona, 2026

Jodi G., United States

"I went alone and felt so welcomed by everyone, also comfortable to take personal time or join in whatever was happening with others. Yoga was challenging if I needed that and also affirming and gentle when I needed that instead… This was my first retreat." Oregon, July 2024

Patricia S., United States
