Hello and welcome to this life force meditation.
Whether we call it chi or prana or life force,
This is a chance to connect to something larger than ourselves and experience some deep relaxation.
To begin,
Get into a comfy position,
Allowing the body to settle.
Then take a deep breath in and a long cleansing breath out.
Then allow the breath to settle into a natural gentle rhythm and let the eyes comfortably close and just become aware of the body.
Become aware of the feeling of the surface beneath you,
Feeling its support and relax.
Relax the muscles,
Releasing any tension.
Just relax.
Let the shoulders and neck muscles soften.
Relax your jaw,
Letting all the facial muscles relax.
Relax your stomach muscles too,
Allowing you to breathe freely and easily.
Now place your awareness on the feeling of your whole body,
Just resting.
Focus your mind on its stillness.
Relax and begin to feel the life processes within the body,
Your heartbeat,
Your breath.
Feel energy flow into the body on each in-breath.
Feel the energy within the body flowing.
Feel that energy within the body flowing in through your lungs,
Into your muscles,
Your bones.
Sense the life force in every cell of your body,
Every cell working in unison for you,
For you to connect to something greater.
Feel the energy pulsing,
Flowing.
Now still your mind further.
Focus on your breath.
Feel its sensation.
Breathe.
Just breathe.
And imagine you're breathing into every part of your body,
All the way into the very edge of the body.
Breathing into your very skin.
Your skin tingling with energy.
Your whole body full of energy.
Hold that awareness in your mind.
Then expand that awareness of energy to the air around the body.
Reach out.
Feel the energy in the air and sense the connection between the energy in your body and the energy in the air.
Let the energies blend.
Let them be one until you just feel energy inside and outside together.
Now reach out further.
Even with your eyes closed,
You can sense the space you're in.
So fill it with your awareness.
Feel the energy in that space,
In the objects around you,
And the space between them.
Still holding in your mind the sense of energy within your body,
As well as the energy filling that space.
All one,
All connected.
Relax into that feeling.
Now keeping the mind focused,
Still feeling the breath centering you.
Breathe.
Relax.
Then expand your awareness out further than the space you're in.
As far as you're comfortable going.
Slowly reach out.
Out into nature.
Into the wider surroundings.
The land.
Feeling the life force within it.
Take a moment to reach out as far as you're comfortable going.
Maybe to the whole planet.
Maybe out into the universe.
Reach out.
Now hold that level of awareness in your mind.
Feel its expanse.
Its energy.
Its life force.
With you as part of it.
Your body's energy.
Connected with all energy within your sphere of awareness.
Together as one.
No boundaries within that awareness.
Just energy.
Life.
Feel it.
Relax into it.
Relax.
Well done.
Now bring your awareness back to the normal feelings of the body.
To the present moment.
And open your eyes.
Bringing that sense of relaxation and energy back with you into your day.
