Hello my name is Sam and welcome to this New Year New Start meditation.
It's now a time to reflect,
Release and set positive intentions for the year ahead.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.
You can sit or lie down and if you feel good to do so gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale through your mouth.
Let go of any tension or stress with each breath out and you might like to do that again.
Take a beautiful big breath in and exhale through your mouth.
Now as we enter this new year let's begin by grounding ourselves in the present moment.
Feel the support of the surface beneath you.
Connect with the sensations in your body and the natural rhythm of your breath.
Allow your breath to guide you into a state of relaxation.
Inhale deeply once more filling your lungs with fresh air and exhale fully releasing any lingering worries or concerns.
With each breath imagine you're creating a space for new energy and new possibilities.
Feel yourself relaxing deeper,
Muscles softening,
Ligaments letting go,
Tension dissolving away.
Let's gently turn the awareness now to the year that has passed.
Acknowledging the experiences,
The challenges and the growth that you've encountered.
Without judgment allow these moments to come to the surface and take a moment to express gratitude for the lessons learned and the strength gained.
Turning focus back to the breath noticing its natural rhythm and as you do so visualize a warm golden light surrounding you.
This light represents the positive energy you carry forward from the past year.
Feel it enveloping you with warmth and love.
Now shift your focus to the present moment.
Feel the excitement and anticipation for the new year that lies ahead.
Picture it as a blank canvas ready for you to paint with your experiences,
Your dreams and intentions.
Take a moment to set a positive intention for the coming year.
It could be a word,
A mantra or a specific goal you may have.
Allow this intention to resonate within you as if it's already a reality.
Feel the energy of this intention pulsating through your being.
See it clearly.
Feel it fully.
Know that it is.
Now let's release anything that no longer serves you.
With each exhale imagine letting go of any fears,
Doubts or negative thoughts.
Visualize them dissipating into the air leaving you feeling lighter and more open to new possibilities.
As you continue to breathe imagine a clear path unfolding before you.
This path is filled with opportunities,
Growth and joy.
Trust in the journey that lies ahead knowing that you have the strength and resilience to navigate whatever comes your way.
Let's take a moment now to express gratitude for the support and love in your life.
You can start to picture the people who bring you joy and send them thoughts of appreciation and love.
Now slowly bring your awareness back to your breath.
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
Feel the connection between your breath and the present moment and when you're ready gently open your eyes.
