Today on Wholehearted.
Open to receiving.
Dear one.
Breathe.
Closed to receiving.
A closed heart.
Underneath the superficiality and places it is easy for us to receive from others.
We may notice a hardness in ourselves,
A shell of distrust built from pain of the past,
Of times we were hurt.
We stopped trusting.
We brush away or explain away the gifts and the people attempting to reach us.
We may find we don't trust ourselves.
We fear we are not enough.
We close ourselves to receiving,
Fearing that if we were seen for how we really are,
We wouldn't be loved.
We often distrust the journey itself,
The process we are in.
We go through life often in a chronic undertone of worry,
Clinging to what we want,
Fearing not having,
And pushing so much away.
How long have you lived with a closed heart?
Closing and closing our heart so that we would no longer feel the same pain.
We also close our heart to receive.
Closing our heart to possibility,
To love,
To grace.
What would it be like to open our heart to receiving?
What would it be like to open our heart to the infinite love that wants to reach in and uplift us,
Sustain us,
And flow through us for the world to be lifted up as well?
What would it be like to live with an open heart?
What would it be like to not go through life on our own,
To let life support us?
What would it be like to declare to life what it is that you want?
Then with trust and gratitude,
Be open to receiving.
Close your eyes now.
I invite you to sit comfortably and to pay attention to your breath.
Notice your inhales and your exhales.
Can you feel the space surrounding your nostrils?
Breathing through your nose,
Notice the feeling of inhaling and exhaling.
Notice your lips.
Notice your jaw.
Can you allow them to relax?
Notice your cheeks,
Your eyes,
Your forehead.
Can you relax your forehead and relax your entire face?
Notice the back of your neck,
Your shoulders.
Can you relax your shoulders and feel the weight of your entire arms resting in space?
Notice your torso,
The steady beating of your heart.
Notice your abdomen and the movement of your breath.
Notice your back and your spine,
Your structure and frame.
Notice the grounding of your lower body,
Your hips,
Legs,
Ankles and feet.
Notice the space around your body and allow yourself to become present to this moment.
That is,
I invite you to receive all that is,
All that life has blessed you with in this moment.
Inhale and breathe a thank you to your body.
Exhale and breathe a thank you to life.
You are here.
Imagine that there is an energy giving you life.
That this energy knows you and cares about you.
That it wants you to be happy.
That it doesn't hold anything against you or from you.
That it's aware of you.
Imagine that this energy cares about your intentions and that it guides you forward with joy,
With love,
With peace.
Imagine that this energy responds to you.
What if your happiness is something that the universe intrinsically cares about?
What if the universe wants to experience life through you?
Wants to experience the joy and satisfaction of your unique journey coming to fruition.
Wants to experience the love and irreplaceable expression through your heart.
What is it that you want most in your heart?
What is your true heart's desire?
Can you declare what it is that you want?
What if the universe knows how to give it to you?
How would you respond?
How would you think?
How would you act?
How would you feel?
Can you create an environment in yourself of receiving?
Can you create an environment in yourself of trust?
Trust in others.
Trust in yourself.
Trust in life.
Can you create an environment in yourself of gratitude?
Of appreciating the blessings in your life.
I invite you to open your heart to every process that you are in.
I invite you to appreciate this moment and this moment and this moment and each moment of your life for the gift that it is.
And let this moment be one to touch you,
To move you,
To bless you.
Let yourself receive the profound gift of being given the opportunity to co-create your life.
Let yourself receive the gift being given to you in this moment.
Let yourself be humbled in awe and in gratitude.
Let yourself feel how it feels to receive.
