Can you be proud of yourself right now,
In this very moment?
Can you stop seeing what's wrong about you and your life,
So you can see how far you've come and how extraordinary you are?
Can you,
For the next 15 minutes,
Let go of needing to do more,
Or achieving more,
Or being more?
Just for this time now with me,
Can you sit with yourself and honour yourself for making it this far?
This meditation is an opportunity to relax and fall back into yourself,
So you can fully appreciate yourself.
So to begin,
I'd just like us to start with three long,
Powerful,
Cleansing breaths.
Inhaling through the nose,
And exhaling with a long,
Deep sigh out the mouth.
And as we do this breathing together,
I want you to imagine breathing in and gathering up all the crap you don't need to be carrying with you anymore.
The prior argument,
What to cook for dinner,
A deadline at work,
Or a fear of the future.
Just breathe in,
Gathering up all of it,
And sigh a deep,
Long sigh,
Letting it all be released out of your body.
So let us begin.
Deep breath in,
Gathering up all of the crap.
And sigh it all out of your system.
Deep breath in,
Gathering up the rushing mind and the fearful heart.
And sigh out,
Emptying yourself,
Making space for transformation and healing.
And one more time.
Deep breath in,
Gathering anything that feels toxic inside of you,
And just sigh it all away.
And now just return to your normal breath.
Gentle,
Kind,
Unhurried breathing.
Feel into yourself now.
Feel how you are a little bit lighter.
Simply from the willingness to focus on your breath and let everything else go.
Feel the openness inside you.
The space you made by sighing out what no longer serves.
And if your eyes aren't closed,
Then I invite you to close them now.
And I'd like you to imagine a body of water.
It can be any kind of water.
Whatever body of water makes you feel safe,
At peace,
And relaxed.
Maybe it's a crystal clear ocean,
Smooth and gentle,
With soft waves that sound like a lullaby.
Or maybe it's a lake,
Completely still and silent,
Surrounded by forest or mountains.
Or both.
Or maybe a swimming pool,
Somewhere exotic and beautiful.
There's no wrong or right way to envision this body of water.
It's only for you,
So you can let it be whatever you want it to be.
This is your place.
A place to come and relax,
To take a moment and appreciate yourself and your journey so far.
So I would like you to imagine yourself floating on that body of water right now.
Just imagine yourself floating on your back effortlessly,
The water holding and supporting you.
You feel so safe and so held by the water.
And you feel peace,
Like the whole world has stopped for a moment.
Here,
You can pause,
Take a breath,
Look within and see how far you've come and how well you're doing.
Mistakes,
Regrets,
Self-criticism,
Victimhood,
None of that exists here.
Being held by the water without any of the toxic or negative thoughts.
Here,
You can just feel proud of yourself.
Proud of yourself for getting up every time you fell down.
Proud of yourself that you're healing yourself simply by being in this space right now.
Proud of yourself for having the courage to make mistakes and get things wrong.
And proud of yourself for the moments of clarity and self-awareness where you begin to understand yourself and accept yourself a tiny bit more.
Proud of yourself for the willingness to be human,
Living this equally beautiful and painful existence.
Feel the sensation of complete acceptance of all you are right now.
Let go of everything else and just float.
Know that this body of water is safe for you to just let go of everything else and float in admiration of you.
You don't need to be anything else than exactly how and who you are right now.
You don't have to change.
You don't have to do better or get more.
Just float.
Relax.
Let go of everything else and surrender.
And it's okay if you get distracted by thoughts.
And if you do,
Just try not to attach to them.
Imagine those thoughts are floating past you on the surface of the water.
Just drifting past like leaves.
Allow them to drift past and just disappear.
So you can come back to feeling appreciation and full acceptance of yourself.
And this isn't any ordinary water.
This is the water of your imagination.
Water of absolution and renewal.
The water is cleansing you.
It's washing away all negativity,
All tension,
And all that no longer serves your highest good.
The water is washing away anything that no longer serves you.
Feel your body become lighter and lighter as the water washes your mind,
Your body,
Your heart,
And your soul clean.
Feel your body become weightless.
Feel all the darkness inside you evaporate into light.
Feel your heart cleansed,
Healed,
And wide open.
It really can be that simple.
You can choose to let anything that no longer serves you just wash away.
Absolve yourself of the heaviness you carry inside by giving it to the water right now.
Trust,
Let go,
Float,
And feel free.
And as you float there,
I'd like you to feel the sun peek out from behind a big fluffy white cloud.
And start kissing you with your newly cleansed skin.
I'd like you to feel the sun beaming down its healing and rejuvenating energy into your heart,
Into your soul,
Into your mind,
And into your body.
Recharging you with the sun's positivity and therapeutic power.
Feel yourself covered in bright,
Warm light as the sun caresses you from head to toe.
Replenishing your soul,
Renewing your spirit,
And fully recharging your body.
And now,
Feeling this light all around you,
I invite you to return back to the now.
Back to this present moment.
Back to your body and the room that you're in.
I hope you feel recharged and feel proud of yourself for how far you've come and for the work that you're doing.
And I hope you have the most beautiful week ahead.
